    Mavs have no one who drives it to the hole and can consistently get to the foul line (Dirk gets there on jumpshots, not from shots in the paint). Moreover, they have no one who can score for them in easy transition points.

    I actually feel bad for Dirk because I think he's a great player and doesn't deserve all the "choking" abuse he gets. He doesn't have complementary players around him, IMO. They need a post guy, they need a better 1A or 2 offensive option than Howard/Terry/Stackhouse. They are all way too inconsistent and Terry and Stackhouse have yet to prove they can get it done in the clutch and keep their head in the game on a consistent basis.

    It also doesn't help that Avery micro-manages them way too much, which makes them play a lot tighter and less loose and freestyle.

    Wow impressive....sure the Mavs are struggling but losing ON THE ROAD by 2 and 4 to the Spurs and Lakers is no big thing....just teams winning on their homecourt like they are suppose to do. Frankly not good enough to be a serious contender this years....so doesnt really matter....gotta make the playoffs first
