TP kept shooting and seldom made a pass the the other teammates, especially to manu. the ball was in his hand for so many seconds, and when he made a pass, there was only very few seconds for the other player to shoot or pass, that'why only TP got the high percentage shooting. If you want to talk about his 7 assists, then you can see he only made some passes to TIM for some assists in the last 1or 2 minutes. It is just another game that TP became the leading scorer but the team score so few,and loss the game again!!!

I don't mean that tony is so bad, obviously he is good scorer, but if he make more passes,he will be better and the team will be better ,too. It's a team. only he kept scoring can't help to win.

I can see where Shoogar and the rest here come from. The Manu worshiping in this forum has gotten ridiculous. I agree more people call out Tony on his bad games than they do Manu on his. There is most definitely a double standard.

It just bothers me that all of a sudden being a Manu fan carries a negative connotation. On top of this, instead of people trying to disprove the idiotic criticisms Tony gets from truly clueless individuals with facts and insight, every f'n time, they bring Manu into the picture. It does nothing but perpetuate this ridiculous rivalry that exists solely on the minds of seriously misguided fans.

Every time someone rags on either Tony or Manu, some idiot feels they need to even the slate and criticize the other one. It truly is idiotic behavior, and it undermines what this team is all about. I've already read Manu's comments on the subject, and he was quite honestly and rightfully pissed at the suggestion that Tony somehow has a rivalry with him. He has already clarified the issue plenty of times, its quite sad really! it seems no one has been listening...

I won't even pretend to hope that this whole moronic debate is put to rest anytime soon, as it has been going on for longer than I've been in this forum and it will probably continue until one of them is ing dead... not even then I think...

Eh, I don't think we need to call out our players in threads.

If Tony, Tim or Manu have a bad game or stretch, I usually just don't say anything. I'm just looking forward to them playing better the following game. Why about their bad games?

I don't even like saying Manu sucked tonight, he still did a good job getting some steals and making passes to Tim.
Neither do I think we need to call them out in threads. If they sucked, there's no better judge than themselves. If we feel bad about their performance, they must be feeling hundred times worse. Each of them has their own off nights, some are just more ill-timed than others.

What I'm just saying is that if people are complaining about the previous stuff that I mentioned, they can choose to do something about it themselves.

I just wish we could all appreciate what they are and be thankful that these guys are playing for the Spurs.

Manu got 10 friggin shots. It's not like he had the ball a whole lot, and certainly not very much when Tim and Tony were in there with him. He was frozen out for long stretches of the game. the first half he had 3 attempts.

Great to see TP playing at that level, that ankle is ready for playoffs, he was the weapon,

But even that could involve more team mates in the game.

We should start creating a team around him, I mean TD and Manu are > 30, welll almost all the team is above 30

Pop first idea was to make TP a young Stockton... then he realised the best for the team was to let TP be himself, a score first PG. But I suppose you know more about BB than Pop.

    Where are the TP hatas?
    Here they are :
    http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblog...pistons_1.html

That is just insane. On mysanantonio.com, 90% of the posters are Tony haters !
Even with the game he played against the pistons, it's all Tony's fault if they lose.

    Pathetic.

The Scola haters really need to let it go. It's not a sin to admit that despite the four rings, nobody is perfect, even this FO. They screwed up badly not finding a way to keep him on the roster. He was clearly one of the best players in the world not already in the NBA these last few years and now that he is playing steady minutes, he is contributing mightily for the Rockets.

Sorry, but every time I see him playing for Houston, I can't help but think that he should be our starting PF and Duncan should be our starting C. The guy is a damn good player and we let him go for nothing.

This can never, ever, ever be rationalized or explained away to my satisfaction. Giving him away to a division rival no less! Lunacy.

man, you post is awesome. it seems only a reasonnable post, nothing special, but coming from a manu's fan, i'm sorry to say it's not so usual.

you're right by saying we don't need to replace stupidity from some manu's groupies who need to bring manu's greatness after each game along with some TP bashing to make their night perfect. Of course, you never read them saying a little criticize of manu, even after horrible games.

these things are very tiring and i can understand the reactions from some people when they say that when TP is great and manu plays poorly, some manu's groupies even find a way to criticize tony.

i love manu, he's awesome. i love watching him play and i won't let anybody make me a manu's hater. but some manu's groupies overreactions on him and bashing on TP can become very annoying.

I'm reading the forum every single day for a while now (3years now) but rarely post because of this whole manu/tony thing. I'm french so people go at me like i'm some kind of anti-manu incarnation lol
It's always good to read your posts Manumaniac one of the fiew posters that, just like me, like both of these great players and cheer for them no matter what...
    Thank you
