And I know how important the relationship between Pop and Duncan has been to Duncan's career.

Duncan is a special player, he calls for a special coach.
There's no guarantee what would have happened if Duncan had landed in Boston with another coach.

Duncan has not done this alone. Pop, the team, the FO, all play vital roles.

That's the NBA, you do what you need to do. Spurs needed cap space and a roster spot. They weren't willing to give the money Scola wanted and they had to move on. Manu should talk to Scola about signing with the Spurs once his contract is done or something.
