Team games...always. Domination, Sabotage, etc.
But heres my point...
When some of you posted your best scores, it boggled my mind. I thought to myself "damn, these guys kinda suck and they think that score is actually good".
What I didnt know was that if you play CoD on a console, the server max is 16 people.
Meaning, you only play 8v8 max.
Which explains the best scores you all posted. I didnt know the console server max until this past weekend.
Now, with that fact in mind, the scores you all posted are damn good indeed. But when you play this game with no less than 30 people at all times, 30-10 isnt all that impressive (its a good game for sure, but not huge by any standard). But it most certainly, unequivocaly is when the server max is 16.
I honestly didnt know it was that limited. That kinda sucks, if you ask me.
So whats the limit on PC?
There isnt one, at least in the sense if you have the pipeline and $$ to fund it.
For example, every server I play on is 25+ people. These are random, private clan servers funded by them, for them. They control the settings, the mode, the gametypes, map rotations, damage meters, etc. Ive played on a 65 person server as well, and have seen an 80+ (i think, in past games I played, anything over X number required the server to be unregulated, meaning, not sanctioned by the dev...there are no devs in the world who stress test their games with 80+ people limits in FPS games, unless thats their intended number (Battlefield, Joint Ops, etc)).
Now, all of that is moot if you want to be a Ranked server (which nearly all of them are). Then you have to be inside the general guidlines that Activision sets out.
But I have started my own server to screw around with my friends and figure out all the tricky little jumps that allow you to get to places you probably shouldnt be able to (the roof in Overgrown, on top of the Missles in another, etc).
I know my previous position in other threads concerning PC vs console are totally slanted and sometimes rude, but its situations like these that I seriously dont understand why people play games on consoles that are available for PC.
The speed, control, customization, compe ion and variety are friggin light years in distance between the two. But maybe thats the alure with consoles, its simple, static and standard.
To each his own, I guess.
I hate clans
I hate playing against clans when you don't have a clan going. They work together and the team I'm playing with is a bunch of idiots doing their own thing. I get out of the room if I see a clan and I'm alone.
I've been playing on PC for about 1.5 months now....almost always on hardcore multiplayer. Most fun I've had with a video game, and that includes Grand Theft Auto 3.

I hate it when they got one guy running around with his cheapass M16 double tap, RPG bull and they don't think it's cheap because there's only one guy doing it.
i got it for ps3 its alot like the other one except they added sprint lol a few new guns and alot of the same levels or similar levels
Absolutely awesome game but they are some things I don't like:
1) It's bull when a dude goes through 3 frag nades and then has that one "extra" nade in his back pocket for martyrdom.
2) Noob tubes are fine, but able to put two on two assault rifles with overkill? BS.
2) Too easy to get a chopper; a well placed carpet bomb by airstrikes will yield a chopper too easily. It should be a lot harder to do airstrikes or none at all.
3) I hate Shipment. Bog sucks too.
4) Nade spam...but that's because of the players, not the game.
All in all, I think the guns are pretty balanced, sniping is much harder in this game than others. Can't wait for the new maps.
I hear that when 360 updates COD they are taking away juggernaut, martyrdom and last stand.
Martyrdom is the worst part of the game. You sneak up on a some fool, knife him in the back and he's rewarded for getting killed. I hate it. Especially in Hardcore.

Agreed to an extent. Some clans are cool, some are not. Big revelation I know.
Took me awhile to find the "cool" clan servers. Public servers are spam fests and youre lucky to have half your team actually working toward the objective or even know what to do, or that the "F" key is the arm/disarm key.
Clan servers attract the best compe ion. Compe ion that works together, is skilled and knows what theyre doing. I have been on clan servers where its Us vs Them.....I quit immediately. I wouldnt if I had some of my peeps with me (me and some fools still roll together), but that usually isnt the case.
But it was once...that was fun kicking the out of the clan hosts on their own server. They were none too pleased.
As it were, I still havent found a server that disallows all airstrikes (UAV is fine). If I find that, Im in heaven.

rb6v2 is kind of laughable there is not one map or environment that even really offers a hint that you are in Vegas, you are playing in old warehouses and crap like that not even one map is in a Casino. They really justadded a few upgrades and made a new game to get a ton of cash when in reality it should be sold as an expansion pack.

agreed... it's so bad, when i do knife someone, I immediately sprint away.. just out of habit.
the other bad thing about last stand is that it really sucks when you do all the work to finally "kill" the opponent, then he drops down, someone else shoots him, you get +2 for an assist, and the other er gets the kill.

Another I play on is BoS (band of soldiers? cant remember). Theyre cool, but they have a tendency to all team up and play pubs. Not so fun. (turns out its brotherhood).
