If Hakeem had had teammates that stood around and watched him or that took unassisted jumpers off the dribble it would have made that series a lot easier for Robinson.

And has been mentioned before, Hakeem was motivated by not receiving an individual award. Hard to see how not winning MVP is going to piss Timmy off.

A blessing in disguise? Assuming Manu comes back healthy (and in rhythm) in the playoffs, he not only gets a fresher pair of legs, other guys in the team are forced to step up.

That could be huge because we've been relying on the big three this season more than ever.

what was his problem against jazz?
    What's the problem with you?

Maybe he's carrying with the injury for some time now. That could explain why he was beign so passive.

Why is it did Monroe NOT give a grade if the strain? Sevening & the docs should be able to at least give that but since nothing was givenm then I'd assume it's fairly minor and Pop doesn't give a rats about anything ither than health & defense.

Grade I Groin Strain: Mild discomfort, often no disability. Usually does not limit activity.

Grade II Groin Strain: Moderate discomfort, can limit ability to perform activities such as running and jumping. May have moderate swelling and bruising associated.

Grade III Groin Strain: Severe injury that can cause pain with walking. Often patients complain of muscle spasm, swelling, and significant bruising.

This is when we have to come together. Just believe, one game at a time. I think the guys by now can realize what's going on and what they have to do. The usual.. along with this emotional stage of the past and psychology of what is at hand. My sig is very clear. Believe.

the unsung hero no he gets credit for all the w's and if he has a bad game it was tp's fault

Credit to the President of the Tony Parker fan club in turning a story about Manu's injury into a Tony vs. Manu thing.

I seem to remember a lot of people saying that Dirk was going to be out for weeks. The word "indefinitely" can sound very scary. On a bright side, this forces other guys on the team to step up and not depend on him to bail them out.
    I hope so

My guess (or hope) is that it's just sore and not really even a strain. I say he sits out vs Seattle and then plays vs the Lakers on Sunday.

He has not been playing well, he is tired, that the only problem, they just want to give him some rest, i think the spurs would rather have the fourth spot, so that we can play Houston, cuz honesly i dont want to play the mavs in the first round...Houston doesnt have much size to contian Duncan and shot blocker to move out Parker and Ginobilli, even though Gnobilli is more of a three point shooter now, but like many of you say he is saving his bobdy for the playoffs, so we will see...

No, it's not the only problem. He tweaked his groin. That's the main problem right now.

I guess Manu's problem wasn't that Parker didn't pass him the ball and Pop didn't call enough plays for him

This injury is pretty horrible timing. If it's serious at all, Manu will have to sit out until the playoffs begin. At that point, he'll have to attempt to find his groove in the middle of the Spurs trying to survive the first round.

Hopefully Ginobili can return for the last few games of the season to get back into rhythm. But yeah, most important thing is for Manu to be healthy in the playoffs. If he's not healthy, there is no chance of a championship.

    Any new news on Manu?

So you think he still might play vs Lakers on Sunday? Or maybe against Utah, at the very least?

I want him to be healthy for the playoffs...but if he sits out all the remaining regular games, he'll be very rusty for the first round! I think Pop needs to play him vs Utah, at least...

There are four games left...If he can sit out for either one or two games, then he can get back into rhythm with two other remaining games...

And it was weird, I did notice him limping...but since he had started the third quarter, I didn't think anything was wrong...

I don't have the exact quote, but he has said this season that he wants to win another one, not because he wants to repeat, but because he knows how it feels to be at the top and he wants to get there again.

Tim will win his third Finals MVP. Either him or Bonner.

When Manu plays poorly it is almost always injury-related.

This is not a surprise at all, but it is a worry...

Tim already has three Finals MVP.

I hope this injury isn't that serious, and it's just Pop being very cautious for Manu's sake. But I hope he can get in a game or two before the playoffs so he can get his rhythm back.
