I loved the moment near the end of the 2nd overtime when the Spurs needed the last stop. TD had a word to say to the entire Spur bench. Every player dropped what they were doing and listened to him and huddled forward to hear him.

THAT my friends is a leader. Imagine how far this man has come since 1998...

    Beautiful.
i am right there with you. everyone was meandering around, and he said HEY and everyone collapsed into his lap practically. i sure hope there are pictures of that.

I love ESPN's headline on the video recap to this game; "Spurs need 2OT to slip by Suns in Game 1."

    the haters

    TD is the best

    Never doubt him never
Duncan is the reason I watch this game. There is no one like him. I knew he would rise, but this performance was incredible. I've said it here a few times, we haven't seen anything from him like we will this post-season. He wants the repeat. He'll get it. I've always believed in Duncan.

    His line today:
    40 points (16-24)
    15 boards, 6 offensive
    5 assists
    3 blocks
    1 steal
    7-12 FT's
    4 TO's

It wasn't the first time Duncan did a miracle shot, but this time we will be happy to remember it. And I'm sure it won't be the last time that Duncan proves why he is the best PF ever. This game showed why he will always be the MVP.

I'm happy to remember his miracle shots even if they lost the game.
He is the best PF to ever play, and he's always my MVP.
There has never been another one quite like him, and I doubt there ever will be. He's not only a brilliant player, he's a class act on and off the court.

We need to name the trifecta of Finley's 4th quarter 3, Duncan's OT 3, and Manu's game winner.

    i caught that too..so weak...
    come on!

I don't think Homecourt in a Suns-Spurs series factors in. These games have been like this since 2005.

Mad props to Tim. He just dominated every aspect of the game. He played smart, and he basically decided there was no way they were going to lose this game. All things considered, I was blown away by his performance which is crazy because I've been watching him since day one. I should expect these types of things from him by now. When I think about it, it's Duncan vs. Amare and Shaq. That's Tim Duncan vs. possibly two future hofers... And he destroyed them as if he was playing against a spoiled high school kid and 60 yo ymca gym rat. What a man.

You know I like you Dirk. I love your passion for your team and your Mavs fever smack. But I'm a little surprised. I thought you were the type to give props where props were due. And Duncan is due props for his performance today.

I just LOVE the expression on Timmy's face - it shows what a fierce compe or he is. And I just wonder what those naysayers think - you know, the ones who say Timmy is boring, he never shows emotion... yada, yada, yada!

Duncan228 look at what I said in the Mavs/Hornets game thread. That tells you what I think about #21 from the spurs.

I wasn't given the chance to watch this sensational game because we have no effing cable.. but reading your posts guys, and watching the video of Timmy's 3-pointer in youtube, still give me the goosebumps.. I wish I could've witnessed the actual game.. But ..

I'm still so proud, so proud to be one of the millions of supporters of this ball club, and of the greatest power forward ever in the league.

I love our San Antonio Spurs.
    I love our Timmy D!

    Enjoy Tim while you can.

It's the Golden Age of Spurs' basketball.
Amen to that. He is a gift from the Basketball Gods.

How lucky are we to have him on our team?
