I do think fatigue was an issue that year .... the only year I'll use that excuse for... and it was largely our fault for allowing the semifinals go to a 7 game series vs the Cavs.

But there's no doubt Wade took a big bite out of our ass in that series.

I agree with that somewhat. Thats why closing series out is important. I don't know if the outcome would have been different but imagine if Detroit had close out the Cavs in 4 or 5 in 2006. How would that have helped them in the ECF?

Nice job Wizs-that's how they can and should play every game. They should take soulja boy back to Cleveland, he was great luck for Deshawn.

    It's Game Three. It happens.

Washington didn't even play that well in the first half and they were still up 16. That's where they won it. The Cavaliers will play better basketball in Game Four. They can't play worse.

Just keep it close in the fourth quarter. LBJ will take over. But this team isn't equipped to come from 15-20 down.

I still think it would have been a tough series ... may still have lost.

But we just didn't have the legs for it. I think we shot under 40% for the series while allowing the Heat over 50%.

And we weren't a very deep team, so that didn't help either. Tony Delk, Hunter, Dale Davis and Dice was pretty much all we could muster off the bench. A quicker series ending vs the Cavs would have afforded us some much needed rest.

I hate that we lost to the Heat ... because I dislike Wade, Shaq and Riley ... along with the fanbase. But I acknowledge that they were a good team. I hate that we lost to the Cavs because I don't beleive they were close to being the better team.

I agree with you on Cleveland but Detroit did not help themselves. Billups struggle in that series. Prince and Hamilton could not contain LeBron. And of course Sheed having a meltdown in Game 6 when the game was still in reach did not help. It will be interesting to see this time around if Sheed controls himself or if he loses it over how the game is being called.

I don't think we'll see the same lapses in effort against the Celts, as we did vs the Cavs.

I think a lot of our problems come down to respect. The players didn't really believe that the Lebrons could beat them. They didn't respect them.

They do however respect this Boston team.
Good to hear. I still can't wait for that series.

Playing in a weak Eastern conference, and being the only real quality team for a while...beating who they wanted when they wanted has made these guys have a superiority complex. They think they can just show up and win. I wish they played in the West so that they would always have to bring an A game. Always compete. And not have things given to them so much.
No doubt. The Spurs would have won 60 games this year if they played in the East

Wizards owned the Cavs. Without a doubt.

    Cavs played horrible.

Game 4 is going to be really intersting.

I don't know if this has been mentioned. But it seems that the less Arenas plays the better the Wiz does. He seems to throw off their chemistry somehow.

Arenas is a good player but the ball sticks when it gets to him. You saw tonight when he is not playing the ball moves alot more.

Yea he does hog the ball. Very true. If he didn't hog the ball as much and he played alot more while not doing it, the series wouldn't be 2 - 1, it would proboully be the other way around

They should put Arenas in a suit and a nice comfy sideline chair if the Wiz want to have a chance. He's a great player, but he hasn't played all season. He's a liability at this point, having not had the necessary time to gell with teammates before the playoffs. I know this will not happen since he is their star and all, but the Wizards just look like the walking dead out there these first 2 games against LeBron, I mean Cleveland, and the they were playing much better basketball than this a month ago without secret agent man.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I heard he would be ready for the playoffs. The whole ball-movement thing is pretty much non-existent when he is playing.

I think you might see him not play in Game 4 since he suffered an "injury" in tonight's game.

Yeah. I saw the box score and saw how many points and minutes he had and I thought to myself, yeah that "injury" makes alot of sense. But to his defense, it is really hard to shoot and dribble the ball for that matter with a wrist injury. I'm not sure which hand it is, but if it's his shooting hand I can feel his pain if it's not at the very least 90% healed. It affects your shot like you wouldn't imagine. You can bend it fine with nothing in your hand. But as soon as you put something of any weight there and try to push off it hurts like you wouldn't believe.
