Terrible luck for Germany. Their defense isn't the same as it was against Poland. Fritz is completely lost

Enjoy the day, as your night will be full of Ribery nightmares.

Hope we'll have good games to watch and may the better teams win (or draw as for Italy and Romania ).

If Austria beats and Germany and you beat Croatia you can still qualify, right?

As for today - Holland will have a hard time. They took Italy by surprise with their aggressive play, but the rest of the opponents will be better prepared for their tactic. And the defense looks shaky as ever. Hopefully they pull it off today...

I am afraid that the Dutch won´t win this match, though I hope they do. France is a lot better that Italy at this moment, though Italy can really grow in a tournament.

And Poland robbed? Just because of the penalty, because they were so lucky that the strikers of Austria were just plain bad (nice work by Boruc of course, but it really was more the fault of the strikers than excellent keeperswork...)

I'm a little concerned with this crooked . First Austria was awarded a penalty in stoppage time yesterday, then Romania today with a chance to eliminate Italy. It was hard enough getting over what happened with Korea in 2002 (eliminating Spain and Italy with help from refs).

Well, SAtown this really was a penalty. Panucci was choking the guy....And thusfar the referees are from a very high level I must say, though this Norwegian guys wasn't all that and his assistants were very poor.

I'm so excited about coming match, though I'm afraid that the French will exploit our biggest weakness and that's the lack of speed in our defense. The match-up Mathijssen vs Henry or Ooijer vs Henry gives me nightmares. I hope that Van Basten will start with Bouma and Heitinga in the heart of the defense. They are both a lot quicker than Ooijer and Mathijssen, but I 'm afraid Van Basten will stay with the previous line-up...

I must say that Portugal is coming on strong. Ronaldo is probably the best player in the world right now. I hope he doesn't leave Trafford and go to Real Madrid. But I don't really blame him if he does..I think he's done it all in Manchester United.

If Henry had made that flick, that would've been the nicest goal of the tournament so far.

    Impressive.

The french midfield (outside Ribery) sucks. What good is having a striker like Henry if you can't deliver him a decent ball? No Zidane, no Viera, no idea.

Germany would have to lose to Austria with a bigger goal margin hen Croatia to poland.
Not happening Germany will win with at least 3 goals adventage over Austria and we can go on a lunch with Croatians.

    Boruc was phenomenal
Poland played bad and I don't blame much that loss on a ref. alhough he made a mistake. There should not be any penalty. What is surprising is that the guy was from England where phisical contact is more allowed then in other leauges.

Netherland - 2 absolutely incredible outstanding performances, I wonder if they can keep up that pace. All in all it's turnament it's soccer so you never know.

    I can't find the words...

Congrats to the guys in orange indeed! Beautifull passing game, great forwards (Van Nilsteroy, superbe!), but the defense will not make it through 3 elimination games. I guess the idea is to score more than the opponent so we'll see.

    France at its lowest.
End of a cycle. Thuram is outdated, Sagnol can't run, Makelele has lost a step, Malouda is a and the coach wants out... Even if they beat Italy and advance (hoping Holland won't lose against Romania), I can't see them going far.

Oh, and as I'm pretty frustrated, let me whine a bit about the horrible officiating. Of course I know that's not the reason France lost, but I feel better now.

no words. Referee annuled a regular goal to us and whistles an horrible penalty to romania.Do you consider this action foul? OK let's whistle all the same situation than.

Onestamente non capisco come donadoni non si sia accorto che gia dal 50esimo eravamo in affanno a centrocampo. Camoranesi andava tolto prima, per mettere magar Aquilani o Ambrosini... ma non alla fine!
