The premiere of the 7th season is gonna be delayed by about a month according to the creators. Probably a mid May release.
I will take a month. When they first announced it would be delayed I was thinking it would be delayed by half a year or whatever. But this delay makes the 7 season episode thing even worst. Waiting a year+ for 7 little episodes doesn't seem practical to me.
July release date. Still a long way off.

Four spin-offs? I love me some GoT, but that's a bit much. Hopefully that are just picking from the four treatments on which project to move forward with. Or may they will be mini-series?

As I understood it they won't be run at the same time. It will be parsed if indeed they even go with 4. They're definitely doing at least 2 of them. One being Martin's own project.
Most likely the Dunk and Egg series.
Hopefully they do a series revolving around the Mad King era.
So GRRM said in this blog that they are actually working on five pilot scripts... and none of them are about Robert's rebellion or Dunk and Egg. Every one of them takes place before Game of Thrones though.
Why not chronicle the history of the most prominent families? Targaryans, Starks, Lannisters, Tyrells, etc. I'd watch that, tbh.

I found Season 3 at an estate sale, Recky. I've never watched this series at all. Would I enjoy such?
Do you like seasons 1-2 of House of Cards? If so yes.
The early seasons of Game of Thrones are heavy with politicking and plotting. If you're OK with blood, nudity and heavy betrayal than watch. The backstabbing on this show is not done metaphorically.
Why are you starting with season 3 though. It will ruin some major stories.
That's what I found at that sale. I'll just wait and see if I can find the first two seasons around town now that I have a stake in it.

That never works for me. Sittin' here at the desktop watching TV is untenable. I even have a TV ready CPU, but, I disconnected it from the cable. Very tedious. I have to have my couch & Lazy Boy.
