No interest on Anderson, Parker, and Forbes still.
No public discussions, not the same thing...

I wonder what the hold up is with Capela? I thought this was like a no-brainer for HOU and that he earned his max pay day?
They've got themselves in an UGLY tax position with the Paul contract - they are over the tax line, IIRC, with 8 players signed, not including Capela. So every dollar to him costs them double this season, and then they have to think about the repeater tax going forwards...

I would wait to see what will happen to DJ's max next offseason...
Who do you see giving DJ a max? He's strong defensively, but unless he has a breakout, he's been poor offensively. On his showing so far, I don't see him attracting more than the taxpayer MLE as an RFA...

Who are we talking about here? I thought he was referencing DeAndre Jordan. If he’s talking about Murray, Murray is under contract after this next season as a team option.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about DeJounte. He's being going on about the PATFO being cheap and will DJ get his max from the Spurs. I don't see who else on our team that DJ could apply to.

Mavs will have a ton of cap space in 2019 and will definetely go after Capela (if he is available), because he fits better on their timeline.

Anderson visited Sacramento... teams just don’t have enough money. Only a terrible team can pay him something. The belief is Spurs will match too, so it has to be an amount to scare the Spurs off. Sucks for him. Bad time to be a FA. He hasn’t asked to be released. That tells me he still wants to be a Spur. Tony has talked to teams but he’s not getting what he wants. Not seen anything about Forbes.

Anderson is going to get what Simmons got : no interest because he is an RFA. Given I think he wants to be back, I expect him and the Spurs to work something out.

He hasn't caught Greatness yet but she's letting him buy her drinks. Good start.

Murray will come into his own as a top tier NBA player in the next couple years. What a great late round pick.

Unless Pop never lets Murray shoot or he only recorded the times he made a shot, Murray’s shot looks good. It’s amazing how good NBA players are playing against average joes. I remember seeing Ray McCallum at a lifetime fitness here in San Antonio after he got released. The kid could not miss a jumper. Now he’s not even in the league anymore.

not saying his shot hasn't improved, but I wouldn't let a highly edited instagram highlight reel against a bunch of YMCA'ers be definitive proof tbh

It's amazing how guys can look when they only give you a montage of the shots they make.

I doubt DJ gets a max offer from other team that the Spurs have to match in 2021 offseason...I can't see the Spurs offering him a max deal either.
That's why I posted "we'll see what happen to DJ's max"... I wonder if not getting the max will make Murray happy.

We can think that market, supply and demand determine players' value...I'm pretty sure players think otherwise.

I guess Capela doesn't love the offer he gets from the rest of teams either and Rockets isn't exactly offering him the max, who knows if they will match "any" offer...

I'm just saying the Spurs could have a disgruntled star again. We'll see how it ends.

No, no. It’s on record that if you don’t immediately and without hesitation offer as much money as is allowed no matter what any other team can offer that the players ego kicks in and they want to leave. There is no wiggle room.

I wonder how tight Thibbs and Butler are? I see Jimmy is saying he won't resign because he doesn't like the young guys (Wiggins and Kat I assume). One school of thought is to trade Jimmy now but, I wonder if Thibbs might go the other way and move Wiggins and Kat? Would they gamble on resigning kawhi and go all in on this season? Would Kawhi + Pau + a couple 1st's to mitigate the risk work?
