I love you guys. Ohh, and gals.![]()
Wonderful!
That so makes up for the day I had!
Sorry I missed the blog, guys.
A new boss felt the need to throw her weight around and be a Natzi to everyone. Basically we all had to stand at attention all day.
But as Cruella![]()

is so not worth futher mention, I won't.
I've had to go to the grocery store but came home first to check the score.
I'm thrilled about this win and am so downloading the game when it is available!!!
Yea!![]()
Fear the Sho.
I am going to make popcorn and watch the game on VOD.![]()
We were watching the game here in Graz on DSF and i actually felt bad for the German team![]()
the DSF comentator was depressed![]()
lmao this was just awesome. but still it means very little if we lose in the quarter-finals.
We are going to win. Believe!![]()
You know which word comes to my mind knowing that Dragic plays with a mask? Batman.![]()
Dirk was completely stopped by Rasho / Smodis. Somebody should send this game to NBA coaches. Dirk is devastated and I bet that most of Americans don't know, why. Manu told you. Players from other countries care about their country and their national team. They want to play at Olympic Games, no big secret here. At the moment it doesn't look good for Dirk.
That is why Rasho is playing this summer-- he has gotten to the Worlds. Now he wants to go to the Olympics.Players from other countries care about their country and their national team. They want to play at Olympic Games, no big secret here.
Those pictures are nice.
Great pic of Sho.![]()
...so boring game...
I hope to see boring games like this 'till Sunday
When it showed our players after the end I would have thought we had lost if I hadn't watch the game.Winning by 30 certainly isn't as exciting as winning by 1.

Congrats to you guys. This was probably the worst I have ever seen out of the German Team. That said, Slovenia just played great and was better at ANY part of the game. It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow. I don't think that they will be able to get out of that big hole.
Good luck for the rest of the tournament.![]()
Thanks Streaky and good luck tomorrow.![]()
Thanks Streaky!
Your team never showed up yesterday. Too bad.
Going to the game Slovenia's strategy was not to double Dirk and let him get his while denying the basket ot the others. With Dirks teammates not doing anything he became an easy target. He tried to turn things around a couple of times but nobody can do that alone. Again too bad.
As I said in a post before I'm in Germany right now and watched the game on DSF - I liked the comentator, he was both funny and knowledgeable.
Godd Luck tomorrow against Italy!
Good point slomo, i was thinking the same thing. Its actually far better to deny his teammates which our team did very good. In second and third quarter Dirk just basicly decided to imitate Kobe and do it himself and failed at that.
Dirk aint Kobe![]()
This strategy is 180 from the one in Beograd, i was so pissed of that time. I'm glad Pipan is learning.
The Dirk couldn't get passed Smodiš/Nesterovič

Thanks streaky.
Good luck to Germany too.
I like countries like Germany or Israel who dont have very deep/good teams but they fight so hard they always overachieve.
Basicly Germany is achiving great things last few years with 1 great and 1 good player (dirk&okulaja)
So respect for that.![]()
Thanks to all of you. I agree that Germany overachieved in the last years. I think Dirk Bauermann does preach the right things (defense) but if half of your team is not able to hit a basket outside a few feet it is tough to win against good teams like Slovenia. It seems the team has completly lost its confidence so I doubt they will have a shot in beating Italy. It is scary that it seems like there are no talents anymore over here and after Nowitzki there will be a big hole. Germany is just a bad Basketball country.
@Slomo: Frank Buschmann the commentator is pretty funny. He is the only guy in German TV who knows at least a bit about Basketball. Where are you in Germany? Hope you have a good time.
I'm in Frankfurt. Munich tomorrow and then home.
You?
Well, I am right in the middle of Germany. The city you could know is Erfurt and I live about 20km away from it. It is about 2 hours away from Frankfurt, so it is not very far.
Hope you enjoy your trip.
I hope some good players come along soon. Good German league/NT would be very good for the development of Euro basketball.
In Slovenia on the other side i am quite excited by some of the young players we have. From the older ones i just hope Smodis goes to the NBA and Nachbar plays to his full potential.
Sure I know exactly where Erfurt is (went there once - can't remeber why though).
Well if I'd known you were so close we could have watched the game together somewhere (any sports bars in your vicinity?). Anyway it's so rare for me not to have dinner with clients/supplier that I probably couldn't have planned it even if I wanted.
