The longer this goes on it's either good for Raptors or Lakers. My gut tells me it favors Toronto. Tough decision for Kawhi to leave a team in the dust without defending an NBA le. Probably the hardest decision he's ever had to make his whole career.

He should sign with Lakers though, it's a perfect fit for him with his injury problems to play alongside two superstars.

Of course I wouldn't be surprised if he signs with Clippers when the dust settles.

After what Windhorst said, I kind of think Kawhi might be stalling to give the Clippers' front office time to make a big trade.
That was a given, he can't go on with his load management bs without someone else to carry the load in his absence, no surprise there.

Must have missed it...what'd Windy say?

Edit: nevermind, I hadn't gotten to this page yet.

    Thanks-

He basically said that Kawhi is still interested in the Clippers but needs a second star. At this point, we'd definitely have to trade for one - maybe Beal?

He also said Kawhi called KD about teaming up on the Clippers, but clearly that was too little, too late on his part.
hope you guys land him, tbh

If it’s a done deal like Jalen Rose believes then the Lakers are surely clued in too. Why are they not after the remaining free agents?
I think the Lakers have made commitments to Kelly Oubre Jr (who will be matched by the Suns), Rondo, McGee, Jr Smith, Korver, Shumpert, and Iggy.

Marcus Morris is out there too. I could seee Goran Dragic somehow ending up in LA.

I think Gasol requested a buyout. The Spurs granted that request and he went to the Bucks. Apples and oranges. I don't think bridges were burned there.
I guess Kawhi should also have requested a buyout

Sooo barring his leg holding up, Uncle Dennis would be an idiot to leave the Raptors?

although taxes in Canada wipe a lot of that away

I've lived in LA my whole life and plan on moving out soon...can't stand the traffic, congestion and detachment of people in general anymore. The homeless problem is worsening all over and it's especially bad in Santa Monica and the K-Town/DTLA area. But the weather, culture, diversity, no wombats, etc...are all positives so I can see why people still want to move here. To each their own.
Culver City: no homeless issues, no crime or dirty streets. Right next to the metro rail line aka can avoid the traffic jam. But you're too broke to afford it.

Yes, one of those that can actually assess the talent on this team. I'm sure you were saying the same things prior to us winning our last championship.

Man, I hope Kawhi stays in TOR. Not only does TOR deserve it for being bold but it would make the league the most exciting it has been in a long, long time.

I don’t care if it changes whatever narrative; just don’t go to the damn Lakers man
