Good News, Bad News: Day Five

The first day of games in Group F in Lodz had as its focus the big match between Turkey and Spain that drew a lot of attention.
Serbia's win over Poland and Lithuania's big defeat to Slovenia had their share of attention as well in this day five edition of Good News, Bad News.
The Good News
Jaka bettered Lithuania
Two main reasons why Slovenia trashed Lithuania by 23 points was three-point shooting on both ends of the floor. Lithuania hit six times on just 27.3% while Slovenia's Jaka Lakovic bettered that single handedly, making six out of nine attempts. Slovenia combined the best long distance shooting performance of the compe ion with 13 three-pointers on 48.1% shooting to put Lithuania in a seriously uncomfortable spot.

There is almost no chance for Smodiš to play in the tournament and IMHO Dradič won't play either.

Whatever happens going forward... I will be happy with how our guys played.
Beno Udrih, Sani Becirovic, Sasha Vujacic, Matjaz Smodis, Rasho Nesterovic and now arguably Dragic are a great eurobasket team by themselves...
We will need big minudes from Samo Udrih and Domen Lorbek to fill the 1/2 slots; putting Klobucar in scares me a little...
Klobučar may be pleasent surprise. He has to be thrown in the water. Remember Dragić two years ago? If Ćapin wouldn'd be injured, would Dragić got his chance at all?

Geez we have rotation out of space today. When in previous games we were mostly playing starters.
Gortat must to put himself together in the second half, or we are going down.

But all in all this team is 3 months old, so I'm satisfied by the way they play.

Honestly, I'm not sure we would be playing as well as we have so far if Beno was on the team.
