That's not about liking it to be different, that's not liking it because you don't like an actor. Simple
Or maybe it just went over your head.

Chris Evans was good in Scott Pilgrim, Sunshine, Captain America (even though the movie wasn't good), and The Avengers. He's got talent.
What did you just said?
I just gave you an example of what a contrarian is.
Its not about the actor, its about going against the popular opinion of what's being discussed.
I just pointed out I dont like Chris Evans because I recently saw The Avengers and he's in it.
I found the movie to be just alright, unlike the masses.
Another case of being a contrarian when it comes to the actor himself.
I particurlary dont like him, others seem to.
I did like Puncture though, he's in that.
It's pretty common, really. Some people make a conscious choice not to like things that are mainstream for hipster motivations. Some people just want to be contrary to be special. Some people end up not liking things that are popular because they're turned off by all the hype. Or because they've built up impossible expectations without even realizing it. And on and on. Like I said, it's common.
Didn't mean my comments to be an accusation, though. Just throwing out a theory. I tend to get su ious about how much people are really letting themselves engage with something if they can't/won't articulate what it is they don't like.
He was pretty hilarious in The Losers, too, even though I seem to be one of few people who liked that movie.
I liked The Losers, too.
People dont like that movie because of one Zoe Saldana.
I think people were expecting that movie to be a hit after getting huge cred in Avatar.
That's because you're winners.

Chris Evans isn't too bad but if I see Kevin James in a film, I stay away that's for sure. How does films with him in it make any money?
The Expendables 2 6,5/10
The Rite with Anthony Hopkins. Horrible. 2/10
Bourne Legacy 8/10. Entertaining you don't notice the time passing by. Shaky cam under control most of the time. I also liked the new cast (I'm not the biggest Norton fan, but he's OK in this one).
I hope they are careful with the genetic stuff in future sequels, because with the LARX they are just a step away from just another Hulk or Terminator movie.
Bourne Legacy: 6/10 - Lame ending
Hit & Run: 7/10 - Fairly funny
Seeking Justice (Nicholas Cage)
Feels like he's just cranking out flicks to pay off debt, but surprisingly not bad. 7/10
LOL...
Picked up the 1995 Cuthroat Island in BluRay from the $5 selection at Target. Gena says that less than 3 minutes into it. Don't remember if I ever say the movie before, but it looks good so far.
Sorry, not going to rate it, but it looks like a fun movie. Paused it to make this entry.
The Bourne Legacy 5.5/10
Felt like an incomplete movie. Nothing Happened. A lot of running around and nothing else. Basically revolves around one agent who doesn't want to die, with some half-assed references to Jason Bourne. Ending was sudden. I'll keep my Bourne Trilogy Blu-Rays.
Snow White and The Huntsman 6/10
A movie you would only want to see just once. Not bad, not great, just alright.
the little girl is also in big love, along with tripplehorn.
looks like a ty ass movie. how was it?
The possession 5/10
If it wasn't for the freaky aspect of this film, I would've rated it even lower.
Haywire 5/10
EDIT
Fixed scale.

Rewatched
Drive 8.5/10
Inglourious Basterds: 9/10
Lawless
9.2/10
Movie is legit, and I wanna go see this shyt again. Only thing is I wish Gary Oldman had more screen time. Guy Pierce did a great job, hated the SOB in this movie lol. And people, show Shia some respect, dude did a good job.
Now, Tom Hardy... is definitely one of my favorite actors alive today. Dude is badass!
Went to South Padre with the family for Labor Day, watched:
Safe House - Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. Typical Denzel movie
8/10
The Five Year Engagement - Jason Segel, Emily Blunt; Really only complaint I have was that the movie was too long (typical Judd Apatow problem)
8.5/10
