I haven't seen anything on social media. Hopefully this is an isolated incident of a kid just experimenting/giving into some peer pressure at the prom and not something he dabbles in on the regular.
Does the staff know?

Cocaine is not the type of drug you just dabble in because if peer pressure. These kids need to google Len Bias......he is a dumb ass and I want no part of him in Austin.
If true, rescind offer and be done with him.
All the talk seemed to suggest he was going 1st or 2nd round.

Sam Ehlinger was in New Jersey today for one of The Opening Regionals.
Good for Sam. I figured he'd get invited eventually.
Hope he kills it in Oregon.
A few notes form 24/7...
-Coach Jean-Mary will be in Florida on Monday visiting LB Dylan Moses.
-the talk that UT is sliding. or has been eliminated, in the recruitment of LB Baron Browning if false (Inside Texas has a report saying the same).
-while visiting Plano East last week, the coaches liked what they saw out of OL Casey Verhulst. He is now communicating with Coach Mattox.

Inside Texas reporting LB Dalton Santos is looking to transfer after meeting with the coaches last week.
OrangeBloods reporting DT Marcel Southall and LB Erick Fowler will have to take summer school in order to qualify.
However, things are expected to go smoothly and there isn't near the worry like there was with the Florida prospects or Lampkin.

BARON BROWNING RESET
Sometimes I have to pick up the faint of heart recruitnik by the scruff of the neck and shake some sense into him. With rumors on other sites circulating Texas is losing ground on the Kennedale 5-star, this is one of those times.
A&M sites aren't going to have good information on this. A&M is out of it. Keep in mind negative Texas recruiting information has the same value on their boards as positive A&M recruiting information, of which there's little.
The TCU guys aren't getting their information from my source, and there isn't a better wealth of information than the person I talk to.
If you haven't heard, the prevailing notion is this is a TCU and UCLA battle. This was news to my source.
"I'm glad you called. I don't keep up with that stuff. I'm learning a lot (laughs). Baron's still wide open. He released his top 10 and that's about it. He doesn't have a leader. I can tell you Texas is right there. He wanted to go to the Spring game and was trying like crazy to go, but something came up with the family."
He would go on to tell me what happened. Basically something unexpected came up and it was stated it would be best if he was close to home. He was still trying to go to Texas despite this situation arising. "Him still trying to go to Texas should tell you a lot. , me calling you should tell you a lot. I know there's other stories you could be chasing."
Indeed. I was also told some things I was asked not to share that strengthen my belief that Texas will be the team to beat when it's all said and done.
Browning has stated he may make a decision before the season but my source discounted that. "I doubt he does. He's going to take all five official visits, what's the point of making a commitment? He'll also go to Ohio State, Notre Dame, Clemson, and Alabama this summer. Like I said, he's open."
This source raves about Charlie Strong and loves what he's building. I've mentioned before how happy he was for Strong when he beat OU after the horrendous week prior.
You may recall these quotes from Justin right after Junior Day. Baron himself stated, "We had another good talk with Strong as we always do but this time both of my parents were with me and he really impressed them and my parents aren't the type you can show some facilities and impress them. They want to know about the network, the alumni, the opportunities, academic advisors. They were blown away."
I had totally forgotten about these quotes and I was still optimistic on Browning to Texas. In talking to Justin about the conversation I had on Thursday, he reminded me of Baron's glowing remarks to him surrounding his visit.
This one is positive on all fronts.
I didn't feel it was my place to ask about the potential UCLA/GA situation for Baron's older brother. I'm supposed to go see the Brownings this month and may broach that subject.
I was also asked to keep some things 'off the record' that only make me feel more confident about UT's chances. That's happy hour fodder.
Tangentially, I love what Strong is going to do with Malik this season. Basically the football field is going to be one big freestyle for Jefferson, where he'll have the freedom to hunt and kill as he sees fit. Normally a coach would have to shelve the idea of doing this long term because good luck finding someone to replace 46, but Browning would be the natural replacement for this. When Browning says he hasn't talked to Texas about how he will be used I'm reminded of a friend of mine's favorite saying, "I can show you better than I can tell you."

LATEST ON LONGHORN ETX COMMITS
a. Major Tennison
"Coach Traylor stopped by Bullard this week and he talked to my coach for a while," Tennison said. "Everything is still good with the Horns."
Despite websites proclaiming he's wavering, that's simply not the case. But like we've told you before, Strong tells commits to take those visits. To go see what other schools have to offer. He's crazy like that. It's a quiet confidence he exudes that players and parents pick up on and find endearing.
Tennison recently added Georgia and Florida offers. Both are trips he might take this summer.
"We will probably go see Georgia pretty soon, but no plans as of yet," Tennison said. "We will make it down to Florida at some point as well."
At the end of the day, Major loves Texas. He loves coach Traylor, the school, and everything the university has to offer. But he also wants to make sure he'll be used properly in this new offense. And I don't blame him. He's been assured even if he doesn't see Caleb Bluiett or Andrew Beck catch a lot of balls this fall, that's no indication of how he'll be used. He's different than those two. He's different than any tight end Texas has had in years.
Gilbert has no problem utilizing the TE position. He just needs a weapon like Major. As long as the Tennison family understands this, I feel strongly confident he'll be a Longhorn by NSD 2017.
b. Damion Miller
One of the top wideouts in 2017, John Tyler's Miller, received a visit from Jeff Traylor this week. And as we've stated since his Junior Day and Spring game visits in the last few months, the 4-star touchdown maker is still all Texas.
"Everything's cool," said Miller. "I'm still solid as ever."
I'll see Damion in person next Tuesday to catch up with him, 1-on-1. Always want to put my eyes on teammates Bryson Smith, Tre Allison, and Jantavious Mosley. As usual, the Lions are loaded for another playoff run in 2016.
c. Lagaryonn Carson
Nothing new to report here on the 5-star DL from East Texas other than coach Traylor stopped by Liberty-Eylau to see him this week. Besides Sam Ehlinger, there might not be a more solid pledge to the Longhorns. But that's not stopping other schools from pursuing. Namely, Texas A&M. I understand being diligent in your job, but how many times can the kid tell the Aggies 'no'? And A&M's DC John Chavis won't listen. Talk about wasting resources.
I'll see Carson on Monday for a more in-depth 1-on-1. Looking forward to seeing the big fella with a million-dollar smile.
3. THE X-MAN TALKS TEXAS
UT's newest commit, Xavier Newman, is a happy young man.
The Desoto 4-star and Opening invite is a 6-foot-3.5, 280-mound road grader with a nasty streak Janet Jackson has written a song about.
"I just loved the program and coach Strong had a big impression on me," said Newman.
He's also a fan of new OL coach, Matt Mattox.
"Coach Mattox is a great coach," Newman said. "(UT) likes me at guard, but also my versatility. I want to get back to Austin and attend Under the Lights this summer."
I still think Texas wants 3-4 offensive lineman in 2017, so I look for them to continue to pursue other prospects, perhaps even going out-of-state. I know Walker Little is still the top priority and that won't change. They still like McKinney North's Tyrese Robinson and Cypress Fair's Austin Deculus, both of who are probably long shots at this point. But knowing Strong, he'll continue to recruit them like they're leans.
4. ONE TO WATCH: Austin Hawley, safety - Gladewater
The 2017 defensive back from bEAST Texas is finally starting to get noticed and it's about damn time. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound safety has skills to pay the bills. He's a 4.5 40 guy, who has won back-to-back district les in the 110.
Arkansas, SMU, and Tulsa are recruiting him right now, but he's yet to be offered. He's hoping the satellite camp ban will help get him exposure this summer and boost his stock. He's also got a 3.4 GPA and excels in the classroom.
On a personal note, Hawley is a kid you root for. He's lost both of his parents and his grandparents are unable to take care of him. He lives with a family friend and wants nothing more than to get out of Gladewater and start his life and college career. I'll be following closely. After posting his highlights yesterday, I had three schools call and ask about him. It's just one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Keep your fingers crossed.
5. QUICK NOTE ON 4-STAR WR
Richmond Foster's CeeDee Lamb de-committed from OU this morning. He told me he wants to keep his options open and see a few more schools. Texas might be one of those visits. Watch the 6-foot-3, 175-pound pass-catchers Hudl. He's one to keep an eye on.
QUOTABLE QUOTE:
"I always love going down to Austin, and it was great to have Coach BJ out here to see me today. He’s an awesome coach. We have a great relationship. I like him a lot.” - Plano East 4-star LB Anthony Hines
Inside Texas saying Coach Traylor went by Blinn today to see TE Devonaire Clarington.
UT also visited Brenham to watch LB Marqez Bimage.
