I honestly wouldn't be that bothered by a Biden presidency if this were 15 years ago. He was basically a Republican then who was pro-choice. Now he is whatever he's told to be. Could be the corporate dems telling him, could be the hard left telling him. Will be a tug of war over the next few years for the party's iden y. It will be similar for the repubicans. I'm not even sure if they are trump's party, permanently, or if they evolve into something else.

It's actually a terrible thing, as the Democratic party really needs to embrace the more progressive segment of the party. They won't be competing against an unpopular and weak candidate every election, tbh.

Yep - Biden is an old fashioned, traditional centrist kinda guy who (I believe) does NOT want to pack the court (or get rid of the filibuster) but has been TOLD by either corporate Dems or hard left not to SAY - that is worrying (that he's complying). It's info important to making a decision for/against him - it shouldn't be - vote and that indicates which way we'll go.
For the Republicans, imo they need to adopt Trump's policies and use a more likable, less abrasive person - some one like Nikki Haley (probably too establishment), Tim Scott, Kristi Noem (probably not enough name recognition) - someone young, fresh and attractive with not so many ties to establishment/RINOs/history to bash.
