All this shib feels so rushed.
All this shib feels so rushed.
Good thing we're going to have to wait a whole year for the next half of the season then, huh?
I don't even think of him as Walt any more. He's Heisenberg. Only one thing would make me angry over the rest of the run of the show: if they tried to somehow redeem him. It would be false. He's Heisenberg. Walt is already dead.
Walt is a badass. That's all I can say. Mike was a killer who got killed. End of story. Until Walt kills a good guy, he is not dead yet. And he did still feel bad that what he did despite knowing Mike was a bad guy who was close to killing him many times.
H is COMPLETELY out of control. He's supposed to be smart, yet he doesn't realize until after he shoots Mike that he can get the names of the nine guys from the woman? He didn't need to kill Mike, and that's a new wrinkle. He killed Mike because Mike hurt his ing feelings. H is totally berserk. Walt is dead.
That good guy is going to be Jesse.
I've been thinking that for some time, and was sure of it last episode when Jesse quit. Once Heisenberg no longer has a use for you, you're a goner.
Mike had to go, but the 8 part split has sort of ruined the flow of the series. im sure we all wanted skyler dead but it wont be this season if at all i fear. every season finale walt has done some crazy ass , i wonder what he does this year. i cant figure it out, only that its dangerous and it affects his family. its obvious todd is gonna have most of the guys in the prison killed.
I predict the Tarantula will smoke the ricin.
Did he just realize that after he killed him or before? Killing him was never going to get him the names. But killing him after that realization would prevent Mike from protecting his guys. Not sure of his reasoning.
I was thinking previously to the meeting what would stop them from just killing all three of them. At least we got a plausible reason.
After. He mumbled something about it after he found Mike in the brush.
Mike wasn't going to protect anyone. He was totally defensive and on the run. That "go" bag's next destination was the airport. He was going to ditch the gun, get on a plane and disappear. The only reason he was protective before was that he had a plan in place to pay them and their families, and Mike isn't wasteful. Once everything blew up, Mike was on his own and on the run.
They wouldn't kill then cause they were sitting ona ton of methlamene
I wouldn't say he's beserk... I wouldn't say Mike just 'hurt his feelings.' Not to say killing Mike was smart, but Walt has had Mike's gun to his head more than once.
Food for thought
In the podcast, Vince talks about leaving the season off with something dramatic... talks about how they originally intended to have Mike's death as the final episode this season but instead opted to have it the episode before last. We're in for something really big for this season's finale on sunday if it was decided that Walt killing Mike wasn't enough.
Yes, but the main reason they wanted it was to get them off the market. Hence why they turned down 2/3rds of the product in the deal.
It would have been difficult to for them to project the realization previously though. Unless he mumble to himself " whatsherface has the names".
Agreed that mike was unlikely to protect his guys. He was leaving. Walt is an asshole.
This is the last season. El Fin. No more.
Which continues next summer for 8 more episodes.
This season does feel a bit rushed...idk if I'm liking this split. Guess we will find out
The split sucks, as it forces them to have a huge bombs this week. Something like Lydia and Skyler clamsmacking or Walt Jr being the new cooking assistant, for instance.
I know it was mentioned somewhere that there's a possibility of adding more episodes to the contracted 16 since the writers came up with so much material post-Gus.
Walt deserves death more than Mike does. Yes, Mike was a and a murderer. But so is Walt at this point. I find it interesting that both men got into the business to secure the financial future of their respective families. Mike stuck to that goal until he had no option except to run. Walt is now only interested in fueling his own ego by becoming "the man". He doesn't give a who dies because of his actions, and doesn't seem to care about his family anymore either.
And who wants Skyler dead?
I wouldn't be surprised if the end of this episode takes us forward to Walt's 52nd birthday, and the next part of the season deals with whatever happens after that.
