    Brah it's ok

you are just a bit mad lately tbh... Messi is great brah I even consider better than Ronaldo... Ronaldo is just more alpha.. no need to be salty about it.

For the rest this thread is about God... there is no better god than Diego... so yeah I feel my post is legit here
You forgot to throw a couple more "brahs" in there, imho.

Why is DAF so cranky lately, tbh?? Shouldn't he be happy NT hero Higuain is in the finals?

he's cranky because argentina might not make the world cup with a roster including :
    messi
    huguain
    dyabala
    aguero
    di maria
    banega
    zabaleta
    otamendi
    mascherano
    gaitan
    pastore.

but he still thinks messi is the goat.

But you might ask yourself how can that be even possible tbh?

Take Messi away from that team and they have a 20% winning percentage in NT games. Messi has had the most overrated supporting cast of the past 10 years.

come on son are you ING kidding me, without messi they have:
    - the attacking power of the UCL favorite (higuain and dyabala).
    - sergio aguero (best striker in premier legue)
    - di maria and pastore are important players at PSG, a top 8 club in europe, who gave barcelona the business before they went pussy.
    - mascherano has a lot of experience and leadership, still an important piece at ing barcelona.
    - zabaleta and otamendi are quality defenders at a strong club.
    - rojo was playing good ball
    - the goalkeeper is a good one
    - a slew of other quality players (gaitan, banega, biglia, garay, etc) with which can complement the aforementioned talent.

You can't be serious and say that a proper coach won't have a TOP NT with this talent, you just can't. Sorry but this is not an overrated cast at all, all these players had success in various systems and leagues and all range from quality to star level. Your post is just wtf tbh.

If anything it proves that the argentine NT has major problems in using this exceptional personnel, and messi lacks the leadership to lead them, that's the only logical conclusion tbh.

Bull . You're reaching for a narrative that doesn't exist. Has Argentina been plagued with poor coaching? Yes. Messi does everything that is asked of him for the team and more, the other players refuse to make runs, link up, and play incredibly selfishly.

And all these players fare well for their club teams yet ALL of them play like (except for Messi) for the NT and it's all Messi's fault? Aguero, Di Maria and Higuain are the biggest culprits. I know you love trolling and making everything anti-Messi, and vastly overrate Ronaldo's "leadership" qualities because his teams look better with him off the pitch than on but the failures of this generation's NT for Argentina don't solely fall on Messi. He's doing everything he can, it's the other players that don't show up.

Dybala has hardly played for ARG, and when he got the red card Messi consoled him immediately. I think ARG has talent but lacks heart. Messi cried like mofo when they lost the last Copa, no other ARG player did. Only Masch is worth a damn for that squad outside of Messi.

I like your post dfens but you need to give the Messi bashing a rest, he's the greatest player in the world by a wide margin.

son I agree that I love trolling and that I am extra hard on messi, but that's just because I think he is wasting his potential.

I think messi reached in '11-'12-'13 a point in his career where he could say exactly who plays and who coaches argentina and he hasn't used this, also he is such a great player that he should know how to use the privilege of playing with him on other players (a combination of intimidation and inspiration). That's why I am correctly saying that he lacks leadership, he just doesn't use these cards, he hasn't forced the federation to give him a quality coach (and then support him long term) and hasn't whipped/inspired colleagues enough (kick some, bench some, promote some). If he'd go public with any of these demands the Argentine press would go berzerk to help him. Crying and giving it all on the pitch is not enough from a certain level up, look at what jordan did, look at what lebron has been doing, look at what zidane did on his teams, look at maradona's impact, GOATing is more than just playing brilliant, GOATing means dominating the game on all facets (coach, locker room, press, pitch).

I understand why he hasn't done such things yet - being sheltered and catered to his whole life at barcelona - but that's no excuse for not doing it tbh, all the pieces are there tbh, it doesn't matter if he plays brilliantly (as he almost always does), he isn't using his entire potential for Argentina. period.

Now that we've seriously discussed messi let's go back to misty/missi/missy/messy and their best pal penaldo tbh.

Messi has great success with Barça, even this failed season they are most probably getting the Copa del Rey, while challenging Madrid for La Liga all the way to the last fixture. Not that bad.

I think he went very young to Barcelona, played professionally only for Barça and he needs an organization and system like that to be successful.

Sampaoli's Chile or Sevilla did play with lightning fast first touch precision passes. Maybe Argentinean NT will become more successful, or at least Messi can shine more with the new coach.

Assemiro and Ben ma starting. Why not start Nacho and Danilo to top it off

We almost always give up possession when Assemiro is in that midfield
