    "I think it's bull (expletive)," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "Good basketball teams are good basketball teams. They are playing better defense now than they've ever before.     The refs were terrible on both sides of the floor. The inconsistency was apparent. Duncan got away with 2 travels where he switched his pivot foot. Nash and Banks each got away with blatant carrying violations. Nash got away with a block when he was in the circle early in the game. They called a foul against Tony when he was on the ground. They called a foul on Nash when Marion was the one who swiped across Duncan's arm. They missed 3 over-the-backs on Duncan/Oberto. The Nash "block" on the Barbosa 3 was a no-call (Ginobili's antics made it look worse than it is - trust me, I've watched it 30 times). The 3 second call on Duncan/Elson when they were bobbling it was suspect, as well. Just not a good game all around - I doubt they even expected the playoff intensity in the arena.

    Anyone notice that the Spurs won by 6 in November in OT? Well, they lost by 16 this game. That 22 point difference? 11-for-11 by Oberto in November. I knew that had to be a fluke back then...

    It's still a great performance and I know that he missed at least 2 layups in yesterday's game. That means the other half were hookshots and he hit a minimum of 3 FT line jumpers in November... it's still 22 pts from a guy that scored none yesterday.

    And a lot of them came off offensive rebounds in Nov. but with Amare's 23 boards, there weren't that many to come by this time around.
