    Spurs draft Latvian Dirk Nowitzki.
    He looks like a psychopath.

    ESPN Insider

7(37) LA Clippers (from Detroit) Trey Thompkins 6-10 239 PF Georgia
The Clippers get one of the most talented scoring big men in the draft. But his conditioning issues and lack of toughness caused him to drop.

8(38) Houston (from LA Clippers) Chandler Parsons 6-10 221 SF Florida
Parsons is super-skilled for a big guy, sort of an athletic point forward. He wasn't always tough enough at Florida, but he worked out really well. If he plays tougher in the pros, he's got enough talent to succeed.

    9(39) Charlotte Jeremy Tyler 6-11 263 PF
The Warriors wanted Bismack Biyombo, and Tyler is a poor man's Biyombo -- big, athletic and a good defender, but still raw offensively. Like Biyombo, he's a mystery because he's done almost all his work overseas, in Israel and Japan, after leaving high school in California.

The difference between Bertans and Bonner is that Bertans is from Lativa. Those s can play basketball.

Bonner is from gingerland in New England, he is softer than Charmin.

Bertans at #42 is better than at #29 because Spurs won't be limited by the rookie scale.
Yep, it actually worked out for us, in retrospect.

Still don't like guaranteed money for Joseph though.

Now if Stephen Jackson will continue fussing about being traded to Milwaukee maybe we can give them Jefferson back.

I must have missed Bonner ever shooting 57% from three for a season and winning a dunk contest...

    I agree.

I've been in a foul mood about the Spurs for over a year it feels like.

But tonight has sort of re-charged some "glass is half full" batteries for me.

    According to DraftExpress,
    Bertans:
    Best Case: Mike Dunleavy
    Worst Case: Steve Novak

I can't wait for the sportswriters to start handing out grades for this year's draft. Just like every year - teams will get A, B, C, etc. - and the Spurs will get another "?".

Does that mean he can come over next season?

they'll hardball Joseph into taking only 80% of the scale like Hill. With only two years guaranteed he'll barely be making more than the minimum.

Yeah guranteed money for Joseph kind of sucks seeing as how he most likely will be less ready as a rookie than Hill and will take at least 2 years to really get his game ready.
