lmao they put the Higuain deal on hold to prioritize Suarez??? ing re ed tbh..Suarez seems like he doesn't want to play in the EPL for too much longer, I guarantee he leaves the league within 2 years. Meanwhile Higuain is a good striker who wants to feel important/play consistent starter time at a club that values him. Is Arsenal for real? is unbelievable that they make these decisions while being a top English club like they have no sense for reality.
Now they don't want to sign Luiz Gustavo because it may stunt Zelalem's growth.

Mertesacker, along with Kosc, was the best CB tandem in the EPL over the second half of the season last year. Yeah, he's slow, but his positioning/tackling is boss, as is his ability in the air.
Arsenal needs Verms back and another player to add depth, not replace what has turned into a top pair at CB
Verms has been lost in the rotation since about 6-7 months ago. Need his confidence and form to come back.
Agreed, but he's hurt right now. Can't return to form until he's healthy. Monreal is hurt, too, so really there is only one extra defender on the bench since Miquel got loaned out
If either Kosc or Mert get hurt, Sagna has to move over to CB and Jenks slides in to RB, leaving nothing on the bench. How Wenger can allow the reserves to get that thin is beyond me.
Hopefully the rumors about Gustavo are true, but I don't believe much of anything anymore (not that that helps the situation in defense)
Higuain's rumors were true and we got burned when Ancelotti tried to around with Arsenal by saying he wanted Higuain. I'll just wait for it to appear in Arsenal.com.
