XA has been great, and you can tell how important he is for us, but hasnt played enough games to "qualify"

Alonso has played 31 games so far this season, enough to qualify i think. He is the most important player for Real. When he does not play/plays bad the whole team is not THAT good.

Actually, Alonso is one of our biggest problems.

Against teams that don't pressure (ie bad teams) he's great but when he's pressed he's our worst player, he just doesn't have the speed anymore.

This was evident vs. Barca this year, BVB last year (after the UCL SF Klopp said his tactics was to attack through Ronaldos side because he doesn't track back and to pressure Alonso), Bilbao and ATM this year aswell.

I guess so, still, it's important that whatever system we implement long-term Alonso is a part of and not a key figure in it since he's 32
