you would not believe the stuff i find at thrift stores.

but if I have to spend $$ on somethign for myself?? i freak. i can't do it.
I have to get the item for less then $5 before i feel "ok" takign it home.
when it comes to my husband and kids tho.. I'll spend $1000's if I have too without batting an eye.

ALOT of people.
they are expensive as for the really good ones.
plus all the tubing and valves are replaceable for a new mom at low cost ($25- 30 for that as opposed to $250 - $350 foir a whole brand new unit) or they can be removed boiled (sanitized) and replaced.
some very nice ladiesd will give them away on freecycle.... but I'm not that nice. i want some of my $$ back.
I was kind of curious about that myself ... like buying a used vibrator.
But hey...if she wants it and is going to pay for it.......tell her I've got a couple of vibrators in various states of disrepair I can part with on the cheap.

All hospitols offer the heavy duty ones for rent on a monthly basis. maybe I should call them up and let them know that it;s gross. even tho all the tubing and valves are changed out in between customers.

It's like at the hospital. We have people ting themselves in bed and throw up along with. The sheets are washed and used again. No biggie. We can say the same with silverware and plates at restaurants.
I've got a good volunteer for breast pumping that's totally free of charge, if the situation arises that I might ever need one again.
