The 3 of 3 was taken from the replay footage in which Ginobili was 3/3 at the time of the highlight.


Hopefully the Spurs continue hitting shots, as this is a very small lead for the type of strong offensive showing we had.

The referees know when teams are going to do it. Like in the Phoenix series. Everyone and thier grandmother knew it was coming when Vaughn check into the game. I have even seen players tell the refs they were doing it.

So your answer is yes, every foul off the ball is intentional.

Also, as long as they have Paul on Parker we need Tony going right at him. Paul wasnt able to stay with him and is too short to stop Parker from shooting over him. Get Paul's 4th foul early in the 3rd and really take him out of the game. Not a bad half on the road, but everyone outside of Bruce and Manu need to raise the level up to Spurs championship basketball. The Hornets can't hang with Spurs championship basketball. They've only played a Mavs team who was fighting with themselves after quitting on their coach.

Yea, I really like how Parker is drawing fouls on Paul. Keep him as a non-factor and the defense hurts the Hornets more. Now if only Spurs can get their offense together *glares at Duncan*

It's not even really Bowen.

He's bringing a hard double on Tim every time and forcing us to beat them from outside. NO is rotating to all the perimeter shooters but the big man isn't rotating out to Bowen quick enough (last one in the rotation as he is on the far side of the court from Tim on the block) so he's wide open.

Exactly. That's the way the double defense works. And they wind up leaving Bowen open as their choice of Spur shooter. It's a pretty good strategy.

So far so good, but they'll continue to double Tim hard and work to cover the other perimeter shooters.

Touch-a-Tyson was a situational move designed to get the Spurs the ball one last time before the half. The coaches were gambling that (a) Tyson would miss one or both FTs and that (b) we would score to close out the half. In this case, the strategy didn't work.

But don't look for Pop to use it much in this series.

Very possible that that's all it was.
