It's good that Dwight is working on proper dental hygiene during a tie game with the defending conference champs. It's those sort of priorities that have made him beloved throughout the league.
Just an interesting report.
Shabazz Muhammad turned down a four-year, $40 million contract extension from the Minnesota Timberwolves before the 16-17 season, according to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune.
Then, as a FA this past summer, he only received offers of one year minimum contract deals from the Lakers and Minny. He's now been benched in the Wolves as Thibs is running a short rotation overplaying guys per par. His market has gone way down and the original offer he had received from Minnesota is probably higher than anything he is going to get next summer when he's a FA again.

I hadn't scouted him b4 and I didn't worry about the draft this season since there were so many trade rumors at the time, etc.
anyways, I think the Spurs could use someone like that in this team right now and yet at the same time, be aware he wouldn't be getting assists in this team at that rate and his open dunks are less likely to be there in this Spurs team as well.

One would think that Spurs fans would be well acquainted with the phenomenon of players looking good on good teams.
while I agree, your high engine would be useful in any situation
I watched his assists on nba.com, with the exception of a bounce pass to casspi when he got tripled in the paint, and a pass tu a cutting but then Popping Klay, it was nothing exceptional.
In fact he got credited with assists for just handing the ball to someone out of a set. Of course if you pass to KD and Klay... you will pad assist stats.
I doubt very much he'd be capable of a similar game in the Spurs.
..... still, even with that acknowledgement, the Spurs really could use an energy player/defender like him. They just let him go I guess.
Like you said all of his passes except the pass to Casspi were simple passes to Klay or KD.
He would've looked good on the Spurs tbh.
Unfortunately that is true. I have seen them win games in just 1 quarter where they use up as much energy as possible and the opposing team quits afterward. The most frustrating wins is when they comeback from 20 plus points in 1 quarter to win the game.
been watching them all year, and it pisses me off. Just let them build those bad habits now and hope it bites them in the rear when it counts.
The spurs have been good at getting leads against them. I like to see them in a game get the lead against them with a healthy Kawhi and blow them out like they did opening night last year.
Yeah the thing about the Spurs that make them exceptional with leads is that one of the main focuses of Pop's tenure is his emphasis on execution. We are at an advantage with a slower pace because we basically practice execution all game. A lot of team's don't understand or want to accept that in the playoffs, pace slows down. That's why I defend our style which seems antiquated but it's a perfect recipe for playoff ball. By the end of the year we are usually a well oiled machine of defense and execution and are as tough an out as anybody. But it's a lot easier to repel faster pace than it is to speed it up. Fast pace needs misses, turnovers etc... It's like a flame. Don't give it fuel and it fizzles out.
I felt the Spurs would have kept the lead in game 1 had Kawhi not gotten injured. They were crashing the offense boards and slowing down the pace. I saw several times in that game prior to Kawhi's injury GSW getting frustrating that they couldn't speed up the game. Spurs were forcing a half court game up until that bs injury.
I don't care what anybody says or what excuse they gave. We were gonna win that game. But the basketball equivalent of the Horry Hipcheck debt was repayed. We had some karma... The only thing that makes the Warriors unbeatable is Durant and we have the only player in the league in my estimation that can cancel him out. When hits the fan and they can't post Durant they are screwed. Everytime they go through there dry spells they go to Durant in the post. Kawhi was shutting him down in that game. It was no fluke what so ever. We match with them and actually have advantages. Homer or not, I like our chances.
I agree. I also feel Kyle is good at guarding Durant for stretches. I have seen his length bother Durant at times. I can see Pop switching Kyle on him for stretches and then having Kawhi lock down Durant.
okc looking decent tonight.
where's George?
So fultz is a better prospect than ball? And so is murray...? Ha
OKC just might be turning the corner
Russell reverting back to iso ball
