I only had the chance to watch a few minutes of the game and thank goodness , but watching that DDR stunt on the ejection is unacceptable. That's not Spurs culture and actually anywhere. What a joke cry baby.
Meltdown passed for me for the most part, I am ok losing a game, I just hate the idea of giving a game away. I admit I could see the Spurs in the WCF but this was a damaging loss. Still don't get no LMA in the 4th. He ever do that with Tim, Tony, Manu, or the Admiral? With bench players is one thing but is this Pop trying to use LMA in the Timmay role? If he can treat the best player like that, then the rest of the team have to accept it? I just don't know if that mindset can work on the modern player. Tim, Tony and Manu were the last of a dying breed.
It is hard to imagine that Pop, in the twilight of his career, is willing to sacrifice the Spurs culture he cultivated on the altar of Dumbmar, all the while, retaining 50 Mills to no apparent effect on- or off-court.
Patty isn't cultural he is an albatross around this team's neck, if we can see he sucks how much more can his teammates. I pray we can find a sucker to unload him to, as aoon as possible
I don’t want to overreact to much, nuggets we’re the 2nd seed for a reason.. with that being said, we desperately need a reliable big wing. Gay, belly, and Davis in my opinion are the sole reasons this hasn’t been a sweep. They’ve been awful

This team is , so thank god this will probably end in 2 games. I just want to see changes in the off-season. They can stay the same and once again battle for the 8th seed, but who the wants that.
I doubt Pop ever changes his ways but he needs to learn to play the young guys during the regular season so they can contribute some in the playoffs (Walker especially, even Metu)

I expect the rest of the series to be the same. Go around Jokic's moving screens to make uncontested jumpers and floaters, and hit all sorts of 3pt shots.

I'm also talking about game 5. It's also resting in game 4, but up 3-0 instead of being 2-2 heading to Denver.
You can shorten your rotations all you want but at some point you're going to have to play Gay, Mills, Bertans and Bellineli....your "Big 3" (DD, DW and LMA) are playing 30+/game....this game was lost when the bench got in...if the bench guys don't figure it out and play better the Spurs don't have a chance even if you play the starters 40 per

After that stunt Saturday, DeMaer DeRozan, is gone after Denver moves on to the second round. This team really sucks for talent and players with heart. Pop is past his prime and he needs to come to grips with that. This team needs to get athletic in a bad way. We need to get players who are willing to leave everything on the floor and not be afraid to go body to body defensively. I realize you can't trade a whole team but, I'd say everyone is expendable except Derrick White, Dejounte Murray, Lonnie Walker IV and maybe Bryn Forbes and Davis Bertans (as bench player/6th man types). If you don't have an athletic legit 6'7"+ defensive minded Small Forward who can make 3's and slash to the basket you are not going to be that compe ive in today's NBA. If things don't change this off-season the Spurs are going to wallow around in mediocrity for quite some time. Start waking the up PATFO.
Dumb. Derozan is the best player on the spurs. Im not a big fan of his game because he has no feel, and passes when he should shoot, and shoots when he should pass, and he leaves his feet to do either on every play. The problem this series is marco and even more Gay. Keep Bertans, no. He is too spindly. He cannot defend his position at the NBA level for the simple reason he does not have the muscle mass. Bertans needs to be traded, released, or whatever.
Letting LMA go would be foolish without a 95% confidence level that we can replace him. I don't know of any prospective replacement, at this time.
The Spurs do need an actual backup for LMA. That would be a player with height, and muscle mass, and some reasonable degree of NBA skill.

The Spurs still need the same thing they've needed for years. Small forward. They need two now, a starter and a backup. No need for them to be all-stars, just tall enough, and strong enough, to play the position, and with a reasonable level of NBA skill. Especially for backup sf, the standard is not too high. "Better than Cunningham."
The team needs to dump some rubbish, and get three forwards, which are a pf and two sfs. I refuse to believe it's impossible.
