OKC does have 19 1st and 2nd round picks between now and 2025. They are going to need to do something with them.

OKC is not sending anything for White. He doesn't even make sense for them age wise. They are trying to absorb Tobias Harris contract into cap space for draft capital. That's the move they gonna make. For the Spurs giving up White only makes sense for John Collins and it's better if they do that in the offseason

They could, but the spacing would be tight, so they might as well stick with Dort for the time being.
Word is their front office is working in concert with him though and will reroute the assets/utilize the flexibility to attempt to retool on the fly.
Westbrook missing his first game of the season tonight...
He missed multiple times recently:
I'm sure trading for Derrick White is near the top of their list
Russ in february (4 games):
14 FGm
14 TOs
28%/15%/55% shooting
@ that video and yet vs the Spurs

Looks like The Wizards are closing in on John Collins.
no derrick to atl
In the pregame interview, Pop sounded more supportive than usual to the idea of teams having to improve by trade if they had to
i feel a trade definitely happening
What are you thinking in terms as a trade going down? Three trades in one season would be surprising as .

I agree Pop didn’t down play it like usual but I still don’t expect anything major from what he said. Maybe just a Thad young deal
Im calling harden to the Sixers in the am
If ATL needs cap relief next year, I’m happy to send them Thad/Lonnie expiring for Gallo’s Contract/asset.
The other Thad home could be Portland. If they continue their bloody tear down week, they could tidy up their books further by sending us Bledsoes 18M contract for Thad/assets. Bledsoe is only guaranteed about $3m next year.
You might be off on the timing. Supposedly, Morey will wait for 2:59 to submit the trade so that his EC foes not involved in the trade have no time to react to it.
Woj says nothing is really happening there right now
There’d better be a damned good asset attached for us to eat that $20M

Updated 2022 cap space projections!
1. Detroit Pistons - $31.4M
2. Orlando Magic - $28.1M
3. San Antonio Spurs - $22.5M
4. Indiana Pacers - $20.8M
5. Portland Trail Blazers - $20.3M
Full pre-deadline look at the 2022 landscape coming soon for @spotrac!
Apparently he’s only guaranteed $5M next year on his deal.
I don't expect the Spurs to eat a contract for next year. We will be one of the few teams with cap space this summer and I would rather have that than almost any asset they're likely to get.
