Spurs still have LLE and remainder of the MLE for trades as well as plenty of expiring contracts. The question is, do they plan to make trades, or do they think their roster is complete?
Lakers going all-in on Dandre Ayton tbh.

lol yes.
Need that fourth year to be a team option…
Alright... we got Kornet. Right on. He'll quickly be a fan favorite, he's in' hilarious.
I could see a Yabu signing to round it out and call it an offseason. I'd be happy enough at it.
Damn Houston is gonna be insane. 3 years 21.5 for Cappella vs our 4 year 41 for Kornet.
This would be much better
At this point yes
Good point. Cap/tax room will be much more important in 2028-2029 than now. It could also be a flat 10.25 per year.
I like it guys! It signals that we’re trying to win tbh
At least now we have an NBA professional backup center. Welcome Luke Kornet!
Yabusele? Please.....
If Brook Lopez goes cheaper that will be very annoying
Still decent value for Kornet. Front load the contract.
ATL losing LeVert to Detroit. Hawks probably getting NAW then.
Who you talking about here amigo? Kornet?
I mean, WTF do the Rockets need Capela for? They re-signed Steven Adams. Oh well, at least the Lakers didn't get Capela. Lakers must be getting Lopez. Edit : Forgot about Ayton. Lakers likely getting Lopez or Ayton.
Luke Kornet thread le suggestions? Feels like fertile ground.
What does this even mean?
What's the point of Capela in Houston?
It would be gross mismanagement to not frontload if they don't have another signing in mind. Plus more money for Kornet getting it earlier.
Brook was kinda cheeks last year. He's on the way down.
4th year is a team option.

Spurs To Sign Luke Kornet To Four-Year Deal
June 30th, 2025 at 6:30pm CST • By Luke Adams
Free agent center Luke Kornet will head from Boston to San Antonio, according to Shams Charania of ESPN, who reports (via Twitter) that the Spurs and Kornet are in agreement on a four-year contract worth $41MM.
The fourth year of Kornet’s new deal will be a team option, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (Twitter link).
You're not wrong![]()
But the fact is with the new apron rules, you need to have these mid-level, tradeable pieces if you hope to do any negotiating or navigate the salary cap.
We'll see how Kornet fits, but if he doesn't...then in a couple years, you've got a decent center on a 2/20 contract and I'm sure a lot of other teams out there will be in the same spot we are now.
At least I got the number right of 10M about an hour or so ago, but I thought guys like Capela would go for more, not less. I hope it's structured like you said.
Let's see if the Spurs get Yabusele.
