Finally saw Cabin in the Woods.

Just as fun and completely outta left field as everyone said. Clever dialogue throughout to boot. 8/10

Very good and very powerful. The daughter's/character blew me away. Very mature director to pull it off so flawlessly.

Cop movies rarely stand a chance at the Oscars....unless you are Denzel Washington.

This is true, but I think this one will deserve at least some nominations.

It does. Gyllenhaal and Pena are both outstanding. The movie really sucks you in and stays with you long after its over.

Yea, my brother and I talked about it for a while after the movie was over. It was pretty impressive. Another brother of mine is a Lieutenant so it kind of hits home for us in a sense. I'm not a big fan of how a lot of cops abuse their power, I'm glad this film showed the opposite, some guys who just really want to do good and their brotherhood.

    It needs some nominations.

I will be watching it again tomorrow, but tonight I'll be going to watch that Clint Eastwood baseball film.

My best friend is a cop. I've wondered if he will go see it because he works in a hole. It probably will hit home for him too.

    Moneyball 10/10

I saw it the first day it came out a year ago to the day, so it isn't new to me, but I just watched it again on my Blu Ray and just gotta say it's one of my favorite movies of all time. Very inspiring.

Brad Pitt was awesome in it, Bennett Miller's Direction, the editing , the score, the message and even Jonah Hill, it's just really great. One of the very few films that have really inspired me in recent years.

Agreed, it was a really good film. Was really surprised that Hill did a good job. I'd give it about a 7.5-8/10 but I'm a hard marker because I wouldn't even give my favourite film a 10

Moonrise Kingdom - I want to punch Wes Anderson in the face. This seems almost like self-parody, with the contrived quirkiness turned up to eleven.

Good point, I found it enjoyable. Sometimes I think overly quirky films are just trying a little too hard

It was good, love Amy Adams. Timberlake has grown to be a very decent actor. Of course Clint was awesome.
