I have no problem with Mark Cuban. I think he's a brilliant business man, BUT, my only problem with him is he thinks of himself as big as the team. Distractions, forcing trades himself instead of letting the FO do their job. ALA Peter Holt. My only problem with Holt is he just doesn't have deep enough pockets. That said, little I have problems with him.

I think 90% of what Cuban says is BS just to stoke the fire and have fun.

He's pretty much a TV and radio troll.

How about you quit being a whiny got claiming that Cuban would sign a guy just to spite the Spurs even if the guy is of no use or purpose to his team?
We're talking about Corey Brewer here. You decided to extend the argument to "Random Free Agent X".

Brewer has value to your team, my remark was made in that context.

Or do you all of a sudden believe that he doesn't?

I like Cuban. Hes good for the league and hes good for the Mavs. Not sure why SpurFan still gets butthurt because a rival owner actually gives a about his team.

With that said, Jason Terry is still a got.
Possibly the same reason your butthurt over the jet. Their both gots imo.

    +1

I can understand the dislike for Terry. Completely understandable.

But for Cuban? Makes little sense to hate the guy because he cares about his team, and is very vocal about trying to make the NBA better, and is even willing to make himself look like an asshole, or work for a ing Dairy Queen, if it draws attention to the league and gets more followers. The dude has most definitely done a lot to help generate more interest in the NBA. And his constant outspokenness is what has made the Mavs/Spurs rivalry the best rivalry this decade, and ultimately gave us the series they had in 2006 where there was so much heart, emotion, sweat, and tears in one of the greatest playoff series the NBA has ever seen. If it wasnt for Cuban, I'd put money on it, that the series they played in 06 would not have been the classic, hardnosed series we saw, if it wasnt for Cuban egging on the rivalry over the years.

Funny thing about Terry is, I totally do not blame any Spurs fan for thinking that. But he acts completely different with regard to the Spurs than any other team. His Spurs on-court antics aside, Terry is a really good dude. A class act.

And I'm very liable to thinking Mavs players are not class acts (Howard, Stackhouse, could go on).

Word. A guy who can't shoot the ball is going to Dallas. lol, I don't care about how good a defender he is. If he can't shoot, he's not having success there in his situation. Should've gone to SA dude. Oh well, James Anderson can score and defend.

This post makes no sense at all. You know Dallas has to do more than just shoot to be successful right? Like all 29 other NBA teams.

I believe you were the one who said he would sign a guy JUST TO SPITE THE SPURS.

If you meant it in that context, then you chose a poor choice of words to say "JUST to spite us", because he would never pay extra for a guy with the sole intent to spite a team.

    Jesus Phil,

You're just a special kind of dumb......

We're in a mother ing Cory Brewer thread man.

Do you also need a calculator to add 2+2?

My bad, I'll try harder to be more explicit about the player I'm referring to in a dedicated thread next time.

good pickup for the Mavs. i thought CB would have a bigger impact on the Spurs since we have a greater need for a guy like him, but i guess the highest bidder won.
