I told you that pillsbury doughboy was overrated.

Depends how you view him..I think he's a great player, top 10-12, but his lack of a scoring drive was always the concern(along with stamina)..he's going to need a Paul Pierce like KG had to negate his lack of scoring ambition..

His supporting cast is pretty bad, so it was impressive that he maximized their volume chucking wings with his passing..

I'd rather they start Beasley if it means Barton against the bench lineup. Beasley and Morris have absolutely obliterated the trash backcourt of Beli and Fatty (unsurprisingly) so anything to change up that matchup is a plus for the Spurs tbh.

Sad thing is Pops re ed lineup games could royally us against Portland (if he doesn't us over in the first round first)

I forgot that they'll probably put Harris on DWhite as another adjustment, he had some success against him in the 3rd (Thought I think some of that was Derozan going off).

Frankly, the Nuggets don't have a perimeter defender that can handle White/Derozan as long as those guys are attacking the cup tbh....

He's not the "special" franchise guy he's widely regarded as, imo. If you have no impact on defense as a big man then you better be an unstoppable force on the other end (like Dirk was). He's better suited as like a #3 guy.

Denver's only advantage in this series was their bench athleticism and quality..we all knew that Morris and Beasley would get theirs..the problem is that advantage is irrelevant when Barton and Murray are playing so poorly and Jokic just can't dominate a game against a playoff gameplan..

I just don't see what they could change, strategically..have to hope their chuckers make shots, that's it..

And their chuckers did make shots - the Nugs shot 52% from 3, and the same 52% overall - and they lost.

By chuckers, I meant Murray, Barton and Harris(latter is less of a chucker than the others)..they're the barometer for how the Nuggets are doing, generally..

Beasley and Morris are steady players, you usually know what they're going to give you..Craig is decent, as well..

Nuggets coach Michael Malone lauded Gary Harris' defense on DeMar DeRozan in Game 1, and with good reason. This is a significant stat:
With Harris as the primary defender, DeRozan was 1/9 FGs, for 2 points. His first, and only, make vs. Harris didn't come until 2:21 in the 4th.

-Start Beasley over Barton
-Stop doubling LMA
-Probably try to run Murray through as many as screens as possible to free him up

Murray will play better but the Spurs are picking on him on defense as well, they're running him ragged and the dude sees DWhite's shadow every time he gets past him.....

Jokic is going to have put up 30+ for them from here on out for them to get back in the series tbh....

Guarding Aldridge one on one might just mean he'll turn into bully Aldridge, which we love. He might just turn into long 2 pt shots Aldridge, we don't know for sure.

We also don't know if White will be close to this performance.
Hoping Murray's is more like game 3 and less than game 2.

One Nuggets win tomorrow and we're all back to square one with a 3-2 series and they have HCA.

It took miracle Murray to beat the Spurs in game two. Someone will step up. Keep attacking Jokic the Slow, and this series is done. Dude is molasses out there
