If there is such thing as art in a videogame, consider Bioshock Picasso. System is running it with no video problems at all and the game looks beautiful. I just screamed OH really loud for the first time in the game because i turned around and there was a guy in my face, so I need a break after my heart got going so fast

What are you system specs Dark?

    Im running 2gb corsair RAM
150gb Raptor Hard Drive at 10,000rpm
    Geforce 8800GTX
    Dual core 6700 processors

Playing on a 21 inch lcd
Awesome. I have some video issues, so I have to format because I'm having problems running ANY game right now, but the demo worked fine, and was absolutely mind-melting.

When I get all back up and running friday (I am busy all day today), I will be using the following:

    Dell Inspiron E1705
17" 1920x1200 WUXGA Display with Truelife
Intel 1.83 Ghz Dual Core 2 Processor
1 GB 667mhz DDR2 Ram (hopefully upgrading this soon)
Western Digital 100 GB 7200 RPM HDD
256 mb Nvidia Geforce Go 7900 GS
Logitech 4.1 Surround Sound Speakers (400 Watts)

From the amount I've played the game, it runs buttery smooth at 1280x800 with everything turned to max except vertical sync. Perhaps with more RAM I can bump the resolution a bit.

I'm thinking about just waiting for the 9900 series (or whatever Nvidia will call it) to come out and building a home box for the Dx10 revolution, but I haven't decided yet. I'm pretty happy with the performance of this laptop so far -- maybe it will even run Crysis! Nothin like killin splicers at a cafe. =P

This is the PC that I was told will ship tomorrw (Friday), so I should have it Monday (hopefully). Its my first "balls to the wall" PC ever...

Im buying speakers seperately and already have a 22" Widescreen LCD (1920 x 1200).
Not bad, this is also my first top of the line computer ever. One of my friends is in that DirectTV Championship Gaming Series Leagues and my computer is better than his so I'm pretty happy with that, the G15 kicks serious ass. The 18 extra bind keys are perfect for Rome Total War and the goddamn thing lights up so it can't get much better

Im glad to hear you like the keyboard, because I was skeptical. I always check www.newegg.com and its customer reviews on every component I buy, but the things just looks like "too much".

Sooooo, youre a Total War fan? Thats one of my top 5 games ever. I still play every week, easily. Ive beaten it with everybody but the Pantorians (damnit, cant remember their name right now, the blue guys) and the Gaul.

My new comp is for gaming ONLY.

It will never see the internet outside of what I allow it to see (as much as one can control that without unplugging the cable).

Im keeping my current rig as my "everday" computer.

(I am using alot of " today. Feel like I should be holding up both hands and doing bunny ears with each.)

Yeah Rome totally kicks ass, I never got into the campaigns much but I love the online play and pretty much owning anyone I play. I got my G15 off of ebay for $60 with s&h in perfect condition.

    You only play the battles?!

Wow. I am surprised. I find the battles elementary. Infantry, horsemen, keep the general close. Its quite regular for me to outwit the Hard AI when Im outnumbered 4:1 (im usually much more technically advanced).

Of course, I havent ventured online with that strategy, but I would dare to assume I would be torn apart.

Yeah beating the AI is pretty easy when compared to the teamwork and execution guys can put together online. I usually win every 1v1 match, but when its 2v2 against guys that have played together I get owned because they use some pretty nice tactics

Ah, I figured as much. I hope I didnt give the impression that beating the AI is anywhere near beating real people. I used to use alot of archers in the past, but have since dismissed the unit as complete bunk in comparison to more cavalry.

    Does that hold true online?

It really depends, if you're fighting on a desert map your best bet is always Egyptian archers (Pharaohs archers) and the spearmen with chariots to run downhill or whatever. But when its just a plain grass map the archers best quality is keeping the enemy from advancing too much. I like to hit them with archers and when they give chase I move my phalynx up and own them

Warhawk is now up on PSN for 40 bucks, it only took about 30 minutes to DL and install. So far it's pretty fun but i'm still getting used to the controls, game runs smooth with no lag with 32 v. 32.

Interesting. We have got to figure out a way to get the license out of EA's hands. Maddens is horrible this year not as bad as EA's Live but damn Madden has major issues.

I was going to downloaded it until I learned that only the PSN name that downloaded it can play it, not any of the sub accounts on the same PS3. So I will buy the disc. I got to beta test the game and while I was not really into it once the beta was over I found myself wanting to play it once in awhile.

I'd say a 9/10, the ending seemed way too short but it was still decent
