Ouch.
What the is going on with Duncan? 10 pts 8 rebounds in possibly the most important game of the regular season? Against the likely NBA Finals matchup, assuming the Spurs make it that far, first game home after a brutal road trip and now a 4 game losing streak?
I am officially worried about Duncan.
Spurs had a chance to win it there both in the final seconds, thanks to Bowen's steal - Horry was absolutely the person we'd want to take that 3 in that moment - but also had a chance to win it earlier in the quarter when they were up by 7. So I'm not worried about the Spurs as a team as much as I am about Duncan. He should have come out a lot stronger in the 4th quarter. And I'm worried about our bench. After a great first quarter we can virtually nothing from anyone except Manu.
Spurs are what 7# now? Wow if they don't make the playoffs.
Cassell was huge for them in the 1st half, without him we win this one easily! Good pickup for the Celts. We ended with the useless Mighty Mouse...
. We're Dallas now. 7-seed.
i hate to say this but we were actually doing better with Tim OUT of the game.
by the way brutalis; this has not been a disappointing year for the spurs it has been a rough one; parker out for most of the first half of the season, a questionable trade(waiting to see if kurt can turn some things around for the spurs) and some blind ass officiating.
Yes, while I would not be quick to say "the dynasty is over,"
it is starting to look that way.
wow I forgot this is 4 losses in a row. That hurts.
That was an amazing steal from bruce. I would have called time out on that one. I thought the only reason we didn't call time is because we didn't have one. .
when was the small ball?!
shiet
did you see rob salivating at the chance to make another big shot
hahaha
it may be going to his head heheh![]()
Lol@philly making the playoffs and not denver
Yes it's painful to be a Spurs fan now in the worst kind of way, but hang in there... a lot of season left believe it or not.
finley could have single-handedly lost the game with his horrible shooting and stupid fouls. he sucks so ing much. he needs to be in the black-hole of Pop's doghouse.
Too old to cry, too hurt not to.
We lost a 20+ pt lead. We are pathetic.
It's all out fault. This year, we didn't start the annual "Fire Pop!" thread. Is it too late to start one?
Really, this loss feels so bad, I'm trying hard to be funny.
Don't worry about Tim, he'll be ready when Playoffs start!
Just remember when he wasn't good in 2006 and he was deadly against the mavs in the playoffs!
Celts were great as a team but we were missing our true leader and we managed to compete even when he was passive.
I still like our chances with Duncan MVP caliber vs Ray Allen back in the team!
damn guys you gotta remember the west is stacked with talent; even if the spurs stay at #7 it is still anybody's game, look at the games behind; west only seperated by 2.5 to 3 east seperated by 18+
Yup, they all look hesitant except Manu, like they can't trust each other any more. Sad days for Spurs fans.
Why do head players like A Carter and E House hit huge 3s on us EVERY ING TIME???
I can't stand the comments on this board....Remember if you knew so much you would be working for an NBA team. Just cheer your team on. Boston is good but until they prove it in the playoffs I am not a believer. No matter what I believe in the Spurs....We will make the playoffs. Just cheer please we didn't get blown out and were in it the whole game. I don't remember the Spurs being that team that blows out teams. Always close even when we seem to be blowing them out...Shut up and stand by your team. S.........Trust In The Spurs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WTF Happened I turned the game when The Spurs were up 22 how did you guys lose? Was Tim hurt![]()
We have no bench so it's pretty tough these days.
HORRIBLE execution.
that's our season
if allen was playing, celtics woulda won by 20
as it is, they outscored us in every quarter except for the first
I'm past angry, I've just learned to accept that we simply aren't that good anymore.
I look forward to a fresh beginning in the off season
Spurs age is showing. It's easy to start off the game well, playing aggressive, hustling. As the game progresses you saw what happens to an old team in the 2nd half. Celtics came out running and aggressive in the 2nd half. Spurs role players barely had energy, their old legs making them short on a lot of jumshots, their old legs making them slow on rotations, etc.
Pop's rotations also piss me off. Why NOT try playing Bonner? Why NOT put Finley in the doghouse? Why did he even HAVE Finley in the game with 3 minutes left?
