David is playing for the new contract limits. He won't sign here most likely, we can't afford him.
We'll see. Spurs seldom lose those they want to keep. He's gone on record saying he's having a blast. Hope he stays.

Holy that Mills hustle is gif worthy
It doesn't show up as a stat, but the second unit movement, especially Mills running around like a mongoose on acid, just wears the out of teams. Not to mention the way we make them work by passing the ball for 20+ seconds or by our suffocating defense. By the fourth quarter we can just run them into the ground.

Green has a blood feud with LAC this season. I just hope he can get one with GS.

He's hitting 13 that game for the record, tbh
He could actually hit 10/10 and then 13/13 in consecutive games and still be well behind the percentage he shot in the championship year, tbh.

Aren't this guys usually unbiased? I usually have better listening experience with the Clips announcers compared to most of the league.
That's what I thought too, but I guess they're getting impatient without Blake or something. It was pretty bad tonight.

We probably give him the MLE or something... and besides, we can overpay to keep someone, it's not the hard-cap NFL

Team just held the Thunder AND the Clippers to under 90.

    Nice defense.
Probably the only stat that the team cares about at the moment.

Still can't beat Clyde Drexler, I'm sure. I have yet to see an announcer be as awful as him.

I think you are misreading West and RC. West didn't leave all that money on the table to become an NBA vagabond, chasing money. He wants to be a Spur. And RC wants him for his locker room presence as much as his on-court contributions - especially in a post-Timmy locker room. He will be back.

We have HCA this time, so I think the Spurs would still beat the Clippers but OKC would obviously be easier to stop.
Neither OKC nor LAC are dream matchups, and OKC has shown they have no issues with stealing games at AT&T in the past. I'd still take them over the Clips, but primarily because LA matches up with GSW better and gives them fits. Even if GSW is all but a lock for the West Finals, I'd rather they have to deal with LA. OKC had several cracks at them and while they may have kept some games close, they don't have the weapons to consistently beat GS.

I love when the team can keep the game reasonable until the other team starts getting tired. The deeper the bench, the longer it takes, but then the team just dominates. The Spurs biggest opponent is mental lapses. Otherwise, the odds are with them.

He's releasing the ball faster. It's good to see he's putting time on that shot. Could be better next season.
Needs to release his layups faster!

    A) You were trolled.
    B) You are right. West wants to be a Spur. Finishing your career at the NBA Basketball University as a Professor and breaking records.

Agree. I think Clips would challenge the Dubs better, even though I'm expecting a usual Clippers meltdown in the 2nd round

    Which players is better SpursTalk?

2012-13 Stephen Jackson or 15-16 David West
Jack was terrible in the regular season.

We beat them with Blake earlier in the year.
Barely...and it had to take hack-a-Jordan to pull away in the end. We can beat them no doubt but OKC is clearly the easier option.

HAJ is part of the game. It's compensation for putting up with a 7'1" 280 pogo stick.

I know it sounds crazy but I think the Clips can beat the Dubs in 7. They match-up well with them and I'm sure they can get in Draymond's head and force some costly technicals or even flagrants out of him.

I tend to agree with you Clips might be able to put a little wear on the Dubs. OKC definitely has a chip on their shoulder as far as the Dubs are concerned, though after gifting them that W a couple of weeks ago. But in the final analysis, I believe Westchuck will ALWAYS try to out-duel Curry, and that will undermine OKC every time.

It's part of the game is not the issue. The issue is that it's a roll of the dice strategy that may wind up sabotaging your own team.

So true...lol. He's had his layups blocked from behind a lot. Slowest layup in the league...

West actually said he hasn't decided whether he will even play next season meaning he might retire if he wins a chip ala Ray Allen.

If you think about it, he's the Ray Allen of this team as someone who gave up money/starting role on a pretender & accepted a bench role on a TRUE contender.
