What a gamble for Minny. Don't feel like Rudy G is enough to render those picks less valuable than the return Minny gets from the trade.
Rudy basically has to vault the out of Minny to offset coughing up those picks and I'm not sure I bet on that occurring personally.
This is a move they made to cover for their $200+ million center who doesn't want to play center and isn't good at center things. So they got another $200+ million player who can't shoot or guard the perimeter and will clog the lane for guys like Anthony Edwards.
Towns gonna be taking 8 3pt shots a game now. Interesting experiment. It'll be fun to watch, at the very least.

Patrick Beverley is that kind of player that everyone has to say nice things about when he's on your team-- we love his passion, his intensity is contagious--but in truth no one really wants him because he's too crazy and out of control. I bet you could find a hundred tweets and instagram posts praising him, while the whole time everyone's thinking holy I hope this guy gets traded soon.

Then the Spurs get Cam from Phoenix for Poeltl and sign Smith. Profit.
Ayton is probably who they pursue if they keep Mitc ...but i imagine NY will offer 5 unprotected picks for Mitc if they want to blow it all up now...Poeltl is probably a fall back if they don't get Ayton and build around Mitc ...either way this should increase Poeltl's value...and we need to move on it before the rest of the league figures out how dumb the Minnesota trade was..ex thinks they want Poeltl
TBH, if I were the Jazz, I'd want Poeltl. He played college at the University of Utah and unlike American players, Euros like Utah. You get a guy that would want to be there and costs a lot less.
