The second half of season 5. Pretty much a new season but with 8 episodes.
Season six?
The second half of season 5. Pretty much a new season but with 8 episodes.
I just found out the new season is in August, rather than July..so weak, tbh..
What time slot and day are these on, and does AMC air as unedited?
It's edited and on sunday nights.... at nine iirc
. Hopefully its a mute instead of a horrible insert that sounds like someone else???
There isn't much swearing that requires edit to really notice. The word ' ' is allowed on air and Jesse says it constantly. The only instances I can really remember where editing was obvious was the blurring of s and blurring the f-bomb written down on paper.
Bump.
2 and 1/2 weeks till the greatest show starts it's end. They revealed the first scene of 'Blood Money' at Comic Con which is the first episode of the upcoming last 8 episodes. The description is as follows:
'Fans were eager to catch a glimpse of the final eight episodes, and they were not disappointed. AMC showed the opening scene of the first episode that will air when the show returns on August 11. In the clip, the White family house is abandoned, teenagers using the now empty pool as a skate park. Walt, outside the house looks older, with a full beard and head of hair. His clothes are filthy and his car appears broken down. In the trunk is an arsenal including an assault rifle and crowbar.
The latter in hand, he enters what was once his home. Graffiti colors the walls, 'HEISNEBERG" writ large in big, bold, yellow letters. Walt unscrews a wall outlet faceplate to find something taped to its underside, catching his reflection in the mirror. He pauses to contemplate the physical manifestation of his transformation. Outside again, a neighbor spots him and freezes, clearly terrified, as he returns to his car. " o Carol," he utters defeatedly, and she drops her bag, groceries rolling away.'
Looks like lots will happen after Walt ends up where he did at the beginning of season 5.
Seems interesting that he'd be going back for the ricin after his cover is obviously already blown and when he's got a giant machine gun in the trunk.
aaron paul just described it as the "bloodiest, most violent" season on jay leno
somebody on reddit leaked a ton of info on the first episode. it certainly falls in line to what people around the show have said. like the quote above, its supposed to escale quickly, its only 8 episodes. my guess is meth damon will probably be important, but will die and biggest question is if fans theory on Skylar becomes true or not. the 52 bacon doesnt have her doing it unlike previous 2 years so the implication is she is dead.
I saw a video the other day of Aaron Paul. One of those "visit hollywood home" tours went by his place and he ran out there and talked to all the people, took photos, and even got in the bus with them.
Seems like a solid, down to Earth guy.
I think it's a good thing they're willing to give the series a proper ending instead of milking it forever.
I just finished the first season a few days ago. Is there anyone in the world not watching it right now? Everyone I know is watching. I think its bigger now than when it was current.
True, but maybe a full season for us selfish fans would have been a bit more fulfilling. I'm sure this season will knock our socks off though.
This is probably already been discussed in this thread but I read that they weren't sure if they were going to get to do a season 5, so the end of season 4 was written to be a finale to the show. Frankly, I'm thankful it wasn't because there is obviously more story to tell, but Walt saying, "I won", would have been fine by me as an ending.
Doesn't change the fact that I've never been more excited for a show to start than I am for Sunday. I think I might be looking forward to it as much as I am the upcoming NFL season.
Season 1 is awesome, but every year gets progressively better, by significant amounts too. I can't think of any other show to last five years that you could say that about.
That's what I tell people that just started as well. Many people have complained to me that they think season 1 is a little slow (they're wrong). But I tell them that this is the only show that gets better each episode. And seasons 3 and 4 are the most kick ass seasons of television I've ever watched.
There's a piece of me that just wants to watch twenty or so minutes of each new episode per week so it lasts twice as long.
I watched the entire thing up to this point twice so far because I talked my wife into watching it. I encourage anyone that is into this show to do the same because you pick up on so much stuff that you may have missed the first time around. The writers for Breaking Bad have to be the most creative human beings on the planet.
I thought Season 5 was a lot better than Season 4, and the last episode shown is by far my favorite of the series. And I thought Season 4 was a lot better than Season 3. And Season 3 was amazing.
