The Verdict - Good, good.
Mamet used to write some great stuff. Five Uses of the Knife is an incredible book on writing. But right around 2000 to me it seemed like his writing dropped off considerably.
The Verdict - Good, good.
Looper
7 of 10
JGL and Bruce Willis make quite the Joes.
Cid is awesome.
WHOA Piper Peraboo.
Dredd
7.5/10
The one with Gylenhaal and Hathaway where Hathaway plays a girl who has Parkinson's. What an unbelievable actress. It is your typical chick flick movie. I liked it a lot. 8.3/10. I haven't seen pretty much with Hathaway in it, but after seeing this movie, I will seeing more of her films.
Yep. Bride Wars. Good movie.
Match Point - I forgot how hot Scarlett Johansson was in this. Johnathan Rhys Myers made the wrong decision.
The Shining - Creepy as . I don't think I ever watched it from beginning to end. Jack Nicholson's eyebrows gave one of a performance.
Rock of Ages - 2012
What was this supposed to be? 80's satire? Musical comedy? Musical?
2/10

Come And See - Nooooooooooooooope. Never watching this again.
Taken 2 7.5/10
don't hate
I give it a:
8.3/10
Movie seemed to go by very fast but I think it was cause the action made time go by faster relative to the slow build-up hostage taking part.
The Skin I Live In: 8.5/10.
I'm an Almodovar fangirl, so it's hardly surprising I loved it. Might be my favorite of his since All About My Mother, though, which is saying something considering the quality of some of the films he's made in the interim.
What is it/what's wrong with it?
I've been meaning to get into Almodovar. I quite liked Bad Education but haven't got around to watching anything else yet. Where should I start?
I wanted to give it an 8 but I might get too much for it.
Taken 2...8/10 then.![]()
Plan on seeing Taken 2 today
Really? 21 Jump Street is in unwatchable.
Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is probably my favorite, so I'd suggest it as a good starting point. I've seen everything he's done since (I think) Matador, though, and though there are of course higher and lower points, there really isn't anything that comes to mind that isn't at least worth watching.
Definitely a Top 10 worst movie I've ever seen in theaters. It's right up there with Godzilla ('98) and The Postman
btw, watched Escape From New York again...movie still kicks ass
