Per OrangeBloods, DT DeMarvin Leal is down to Texas and aggy. He'll probably take a few out of State visits, but more than likely will stay in State. He was at Texas' scrimmage on Saturday and said the offense actually won.
24/7 reporting OL Javonne Shepherd of Houston North Forest should be in Austin next weekend for an unofficial visit.
He was supposed to visit this weekend, but he had some family obligations.
Herman and Coach Hand are supposedly making moves in this recruitment, and Herman FaceTimed with Shepherd for about 15 minutes this weekend.

Update on Wake Forest grad transfer WR Tabari Hines after his visit to UT (24/7):
“It was a great visit,” Hines said. “My favorite part was just being around the coaches. They are all great people and nice to talk to. The offense is featured through the position I would play there.”
“I have high interest in Texas,” Hines said. “What stands out is just the whole family thing. It’s one big family. NFL players and former players all love being around Texas football.”

24/7 reporting CB Kenyatta Watson of Loganville, GA is still planning on being in Austin this weekend.
Quotes from S Lewis Cine of Cedar Hill Trinity Christian after seeing UT this weekend (24/7):
“It went great overall,” Cine said. “Seeing the campus and the facilities was a major favorite part of the visit. What stood up to me was that they have some real dogs on defense and are still recruiting the top guys. And secondly, everything there is massive and new.”
“We (Cine and Coach Naivar) talked what type of defense they played and how I’d be involved,” Cine said. “I like that he is energetic, and he kept things real with me with numbers and facts and not just words.”
“I’ve been very interested in UT,” Cine said. “That’s the main reason I headed there this weekend. Now, I see what the coaches are like and what type of environment I would be in. I like it.”
On 2020 RB Zachary Evans....
-24/7 is saying he is a possibility to visit Austin this weekend.
-OrangeBloods had a source close to Evans (probably his brother) tell them he'll be at UT's spring game.
Update on CB Kenyatta Watson from The Football Brainiacs.
He will be accompanied on this next visit by his father, mother and siblings.
His mother prefers UT at this time, and his father mentioned UT is out-recruiting Notre Dame.
The Football Brainiacs confirmed that 2020 RB Zachary Evans is planning on being in Austin this weekend.
He said his recent trip to Norman went a long way towards helping OU in his recruitment, but “...I’ve never bonded with coaches like I did at Texas."
They believe UT is still the team to beat.
Super K of The Football Brainiacs mentioned today that "there is something quietly brewing" with RB Trey Sanders of IMG Academy.

Quotes from DT DeMarvin Leal of Converse Judson after visiting UT this past weekend (OrangeBloods):
“It was fun. We sat down and talked, watched the practice that morning. It was nice,” Leal said. “I just liked how everybody was all hyped up, having fun with everything that was going on. When one of the freshmen got a big hit, everyone hyped.”
“I might honestly end up staying in Texas,” Leal said. “So Texas and Texas A&M, those are the two that I’m mainly focusing on right now.”
“I’m still deciding on which dates to go. It might be after my other officials,” Leal said. “It’s possible that I’ll take them this spring, if not I’ll do it in the fall.”
“With Texas, it’s just how the coaches and players are always in the mix. When they were scrimmaging, if the offense had lost, it’s not only the players who would have to run, it was the coaches as well. I like the players and coaches and their relationships, how it builds."
“Texas A&M, it’s almost the same thing, just how the players talk about the coaches, how much they love them, what they’ve been doing so far. I haven’t been out there for a practice yet, so can’t say what happens behind the scenes.”
