the first time i fought the demon i got killed right away because i couldn't hold on to the controller. i lost it when he sang "i'm going to throw my on you" and he started lobbing balls.
Can I play xbox games on a 360 or are we not reverse compatable?

Anyone have any thoughts on Tiger Woods 07 vs. 08 on Wii? Is it worth paying double for 08?
was 07 any good? i was thoroughly disgusted by 06. i enjoyed all of them up to that point, and didn't bother playing 07. i thought the new game modes were stupid.
If you have the hard drive you can play most games. Some games require an update from the internet if I'm not mistaken.

My usual gamertag is Gerryatrics, but I ran out of Live Gold and am using Gerryatricz until I can pick up a 12 month card. It would be cool to play with some people I sort of kind of know. Also could use some help figuring out if my mic is working without getting viciously flamed.

FIFA 08 looking pretty damn good. The new "Be a Pro" mode 'seems' a lot like the "Superstar" mode in Madden. I really like the camera angle they have for this mode. Also, I think the speed burst reminds me of the speed burst in Gears of War.

Ok I just got done playing my first game of Madden 08, and I knew people said the interceptions were high but holy I didn't realize they were that high haha

Mario Kart Double Dash entertains me.
The game is a total travesty. The field physics are way off you can't lob anymore and you can't see your 1 and 2 recievers unless you leave the pocket.....don't even bother to play the franchise mode.
If you alter a drafted player in any way his contract changes and he automatically turns 26 years old.
Worst part of the franchise mode is that after 4 or 5 seasons the free agent pool is nearly empty and the CPU can't fill their rosters to continue the season so you are effectively stuck in limbo.
The player movement and actual player physics are awesome but the game is executed horribly. Best graphics ever and best captured player motion ever but worst franchise mode and worst gameplay ruin the game for me. I've never in my life played a game so full of glitches.
Thanks for the warning on that stuff, I just rented it in order to give it a try I haven't played a Madden since like 02 but yeah I'm starting to notice some f'd up stuff in just this short time
What a shocker. EA Sports delivers a half-assed sports game. I'm shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you.
Best football game ever is still Tecmo Super Bowl, runner up is NFL 2k5.
It's sad. 15 years of Madden and they still can't design an AI that doesn't cheat horrifically to win.
If you're a fan of Max Payne then you might wanna give John Woo's Stranglehold a look. Only played it for 15 minutes but it's pretty decent.
The turnover are ridiculous no matter where you put the game sliders. Missing features and an uplayable franchise mode just kill what could have been an amazing game.
I've been doing a little reading around and the Madden for the old xbox and the ps2 are as good as ever. Formation subs and defensive player assignments with the same franchise mode we've grown to love. For those that have a ps3 I've read in more than a few places that playing the ps2 version on a ps3 will really smooth out the graphics and the game looks better than ever for the CG. This is the answer for getting the NFL fix we need.
I play almost strictly franchise mode and its just unplayable for the NG madden, really sad considering how great the game looks on the 360 and the player engine that controls the tackling and player movement are the best I've ever seen in a football game. I guess looks aren't everything if the game is riddled with bugs and broken functions with all the missing features, hopefully they get it right in 09 or at least test the game better and finish the product because sadly the NG Madden is a s of its former self.
oh one more thing I hate the 40 yard dash in Madden lol

Yeah I'm not completely getting these weird drills. Have you seen how up and down the progression is? It makes no sense to see someone go up 5 points in speed, what is he on coke? If you sim a few seasons the same players go up or down the exact same everytime, so its not performance based at all its simply pre-programmed.
I like the idea of slower progression for each player and I also like the idea of having to really practice a player to get results but the entire progression engine just completely missed the boat. Has potential though. If you could put the entire interface and polished franchise mode of the ps2 version into the 360 or ps3 game you'd have the best football sim ever.
Naw I rented the 360 version so I could try it out and I haven't made it through a season yet. I made a superstar and just did it over and over till he was a 95 rookie lol but I still got drafted in the 3rd round which is garbage
here's some breaking news... THE XBOX 360 SUCKS BALLS! so many friends have had to get repairs it's not funny. had a buddy work for xbox tech support and you wouldn't believe all the trouble people have with that piece of . i'll stick with sony.
I had my power cord/box go bad on my about a year ago. Got a replacement from the place I bought it from and hadn't had a problem since....knock on wood. I would like a ps3 though.
