So you really think a league where a big guy was 290 and a fast guy guy ran a 4.5 was more dangerous than today where every team has a dozen 300 pounders and a fast guy runs a 4.3...??? Guys playing on Sunday then on a Thursday....huh?

The game today is played at a FAR faster pace by bigger and stronger and faster athletes, it is far more dangerous now than ever. You really don't get that?

Willie Davis was a monster D lineman back in those Packer days, he weighed 260 pounds.

Todays Alabama team would destroy those old Packer teams.

The Frig was a freak in the 80's, how many 300 pounder on college teams today? , lines that average over 300 pounds.

And, why mention George Blanda who never played in a 16 game season?

The NFL is all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, ya can play all that safety stuff in HS/NCAA, it just doesn't work at the pro level. People pay big $$$$$ to see the stars, this....concussion protocol....is hurting the game.

blanda played into his mid-40's... look at his total games played. plus he was just a kicker for much of it

What went a little unnoticed was the return of Deion Lewis to the Pats, he is that....make ya miss....they were lacking. He will make a difference.

Like I mentioned awhile back, Chiefs Tyreek Hill is something special. He is the only current player in the NFL with that legit "world class speed" we hear about that 99% really don't have like the Ted Ginn's, Mike Wallace, etc.

Remember this name Tairik Cohen, chek him out. He's now at Grambling, will be in the NFL sooon.
