Yes, Jabari, I am a fan of the team. I'm in my 40s and became a Spurs fan way before Kawhi was born. Of course, I am also a fan of the players, but they come and go. I would like Kawhi and PATFO to figure this out, but if not and he's traded, so be it. I'll still be a Spurs fan.

But apart from that, yeah, fans typically root for the team since players come and go and teams stay (unless you're Seattle...). The Spurs have been in San Antonio since the early 70's...over 40 years. Yeah, the fans (especially the long time fans) might have a little more loyalty to the team...

If he signed for less than the max, and it came out he overruled his group, I'd be cool with it. If they get Pop to quit and overrun the team, I'll want his ass gone. If something in the middle happens, I'd wait and see how the team responded, about in the front office and on the court. It's obvious there were real chemistry issues with Kawhi now, even if no one disliked him personally. You could see it in how they played. I don't want another year of that. That was much harder to watch than seeing the 50-win streak snapped.

I'm a SPURS fan for life tbh fwiw. But kawhi is by far my favorite player in the league so I'll follow his career but the Spurs will always come first. And to be honest I'm not a huge fan of the other players on this team. I like Manu but that's about it.
