BOS possible loss to NYK = breaking up their team for apron relief just in time for our 28 pick swap to be valuable?

I rewatched those last 12 seconds of the Celtic/Knick game, and although I'm not a fan of the way Tatum tends to hero-ball in those situations, the other four players on the floor didn't do him any favors either... all four stood and watched him as he tried to penetrate into traffic, letting the clock wind down, and Jaylen Brown made his move too late, which allowed Bridges to double, while Al Horford clogged the lane leaving Tatum almost triple teamed...

On the other side, those draft picks for Bridges are suddenly looking a lot more reasonable.

Dribbles away from the basket and attempts a fade away.

Call a time out draw up a play.

    Boston is so stupid

Live an embarrassingly die by the 3.

This reminds me of their loss to the Heat in the eastern conference finals series back in...'23

Boston crashing and burning in the playoffs at home. What would be funny is if they get swept in the series

As someone who isn't particularly committed one way or the other...these playoffs are wild.

Too lazy to confirm but I think I do remember that it was the 2007 Miami Heat that got swept in the first round by Chicago the year following winning a ring so yeah it would be crazy as I think that follow-up sweep helped contribute to the '06 Heat being seen as one of the weaker/weakest championship teams of all time. If it does happen, then Boston would likely be right there unless they follow this year up with another one somehow.

As a former resident of the greater Boston metropolitan area... Boston sports fans deserve all the misery that can possibly be heaped upon them. Boston and Philly, the two worst fan bases in the world along with the nomadic Yankees/Lakers/Cowboys/Notre Dame fan

Why are the Boston fans so bad, and Philly too? Don't know much about fan bases in the US.

Also, not sure how you guys feel, but I really like seeing these three point chucking teams not do well. I hate that style of play. I don't think they played this way under Ime, did they?

Would also be great for the Spurs if they don't advance and blow it up. That 2028 pick could start looking a lot better.

On a side note, I think the Warriors have actually been playing pretty well by also mixing solid defense and good team play, not just relying on outscoring teams like they used to in their earlier years. It sucks for them that Curry got hurt (I don't feel sorry for them, though, as they've faced a lot of injured teams over the years).
I would have at least liked to see how they would have went in the next round if they made/make it that far.

I'll never, ever consider Tatum and Brown as true tier 1 superstars, especially Tatum.
They're so inefficent considering their size and skillset, at times it's just embarrassing.

Tatum is amazing until he faces a good defensive team. Then he switches to post-achilles Kobe mode.

Yeah I wouldn’t even trust Tatum this year against the Warriors in the Finals. I would expect another 35% FG performance like 2022. Embarrassing.

My preferences for winning the le. I don’t really care tbh as long as it’s not Golden State.

    Denver
    New York
    Cleveland
    Minny
    Indiana
    Boston
    Thunder

    World War 3

    Warriors

It‘s not that they were stupid, it‘s that they weren‘t on the same page. I never even realized they drafted Hartenstein, but Malone refused to play him. If he actually cared about developing rookies during the season, they would have one of a bench
I can't believe anyone here wanted to hire that clown.

You mean pre-achilles Kobe chucker. Nobody in the history of the game rivals post-achilles Kobe.

In the regular season that would be the score with 3 minutes left in the 3rd, not the 4th.

Tatum and Brown have always been chokers. They just won that one chip last year because their roster ist stacked and they play in the weakass east.

I don't know, bro. As a fellow soccer enjoyer, you should appreciate the beauty in scoring being hard to come by and actually meaningful.
    It’s not that easy
SGA faces serious defences but his bag is deep , he has so many counters that he makes it look easy, but it’s not

Zone defense is much harder for a scorer than 1 on 1 with illegal defense rule

Terrible decision making by um in those first 2 games

In game 1 even when he had midgets guarding him he elected to shoot step back 3’s, even though hie has the skills and size advantage to do otherwise.

Last year when his shots were not falling he made up for it with excellent playmaking

I think his point may have been that there was a Celtic STANDING UNDER THE RIM UNGUARDED.

Are you sure you remember it correctly?

He already has the ball in his hand in the first picture if it's not clear enough.
And what's the remark about Hart closing in even supposed to mean?
Tatum should've passed it to Horford because Brunson fell and there was no call. He could've also put it on the floor and scored an easy layup.
Instead, he took his time to concentrate on the shot, tunnel visioned and probably lost his team the game just because of dumb logic that a wide open corner 3 is better than a 99% layup.

That Celtic was ket by the Knicks player and kicked it out lol
It was Derrick who threw the skip pass to Tatum, Brunson was trying to front Horford and flopped. It was a transition play, Horford never touched the ball.

Jesus. That is some low iq right there.

The Knicks literally have no rim protection - at ALL. Attack the basket.

3s are such a high variance shot you got to have something else in your bag when they’re not falling. The thing is, they are not going to change. They gonna live and die by the 3 this series.
