My current boyfriend has a goatee so meticulously groomed that I had serious questions about his sexuality before we started dating.
Mine is terribly groomed. It is off center and out of balance.

that particular look is a mix of beer/it being 30 degrees outside/bad timing with the camera/and pride in my extensive collection.
Some new magazine told me I could write for them on an unpaid intern basis until they got big enough to pay. I literally told them to themselves.
Hopefully they don't pass that tidbit around to other magazines.

Depending on how much work you'd put in, if you negotiate to hold all the rights to your work, it might be beneficial.
But it's unpaid work. It seems like bull to work for nothing.

I sent Mel a link for a cool blogging job the other day, but she wasn't interested because her espanol sucks and they wanted a bilingual latina.
I want to write anything that will get me paid. I'm willing to tone my down and write decent stuff as long as there is money involved.
Right now all I care about getting is money and writing samples.

I've sent some of my short stories to different publishers but none of them can handle my . I need to get some legit places that will give me some regular to right. If I have to send some of my original stuff to places, I won't get published. My creative stuff is way too odd for most places.

then the best thing you can do now is give it to the place who wants your stuff for free WITH a contract the stipulates you get a fair share of any profits made from the magazine and that the stories are ALL yours. Maybe their publication will make it big and your contributions helped get them there.
PLUS - send your best stuff out to as many people as possible. someone will bite
The only problem with that is that it is an Indie music magazine. If it was some sort of creative writing mag then I would send it regardless of pay, but with music articles I gotta keep it straight. Wait. Do I?
