Not sure how Russia stoking BLM is a bad mark on liberals, seeing as the objective to amplify BLM was successful based on conservatives calling for them to be classified as a hate group.

No, it's not ok. I believe we should investigate and understand all of their operations and also use this as an opportunity to increase our skepticism towards messages from both sides. I'm saying it's not exactly an indictment of liberals when people are tricked enough by false rhetoric that they start to suggest BLM is the same as ISIS.
The donations mentioned in the article went towards BLM causes, but that was not the full extent to which Russia used BLM as a wedge issue. Along with gun rights, BLM was a common topic in Russian troll farms (I can't believe I typed those words) to stir up anger in the US. In the same way, a good number of liberals probably shared and engaged with some of their posts from sketchy "2nd Amendment Superfan" accounts.
"BLM's violence" is a hyperbolic and unsubstantiated statement, and is the kind of rhetoric that is being amplified by those hack accounts. You're tying riots to BLM because members of both happen to be black and angered by black people being killed by law enforcement without accountability. You could make the same connection to feminists.
