I will take his hits with his misses 10/10 times. His drafting was incredible.

...not playing is worse than a comment...
He was drafted to be the anchor on this defense. Thats what a LB drafted in the top 20 is all about. He only has not lived up to expectations he can't even get on the feild to play the position.

You could cut him. It is the NFL. My opinion is they spent all that money on him that Jones has to justify it so they put him on Special teams hoping something clicks. The players don't seem to think so except Zach Thomas who they went out to get because Barbie sucks so bad. A 35 year old that was waived because no team would trade for. I think at this stage the comments are worse than special teams. You want respect from your teamates.

Nobody cares what Jerry says on some TV show...playing means everything...words are forgotten and mean nothing.

I can't believe this conversation is happening...him not playing on defense is far worse than what Jerry said.

Tell me the great picks he made? Ware was a no brainier. He did pass on SJax to take JJ if I recall that was good. Barber great pick Spears? He had some good picks but also missed a few gems IMO.

Tell me who rebuilt a better team from crap to what he did in the 00's. I am sure you can fine a one or two but what he did was damn good and better than most. He can draft for the Cowboys until the day he dies and I will be fine with it. Everyone has huge misses...no drafting is perfect or as Bill said "Hitting one out of two is pretty damn good when it comes to the draft. You have to be lucky"

And don't tell me Ware was a no brainer...the Cowboys were slaughtered on forums, blogs, sites and everyone else in the media for not drafting shawn merriman.

Obviously not starting or playing is the ultimate display of his suckness. But we already knew that, we've known that for 2 years.

Jerry flat out calling him finesse is definitely a kick in the balls on top of everything else.

Parcells had some misses, but he found some damn good personnel for this team with his two biggest successes being Romo and Barber. Also, the Cowboys didn't get Julius Jones instead of Jackson straight up, they got the extra first out of it that became Marcus Spears. Spears lacks in pass rush but his run defense has been damn good over the last season +.

I agree but I think Sean Peyton discovered Romo. Parcells made the "balls" call to replace Bledsoe durning a game mid season while the Boys were in a playoff hunt.

I'm not sure it was him or some other scout at a compound.

I want to say Sean Peyton and Romo went to same college. Obviously different times. Someone will look it up if not I will later.

You're right - Eastern Illinois. Mike Shanahan and Brad Childress also were from EIU.

Yeah, Payton is the guy who noticed Romo and convinced Parcells to give him a shot. That said, Parcells was the guy who recognized enough in him to use a roster spot for a 3rd QB for 3 or 4 years when most coaches would have cut him for an extra special teams contributor.

What's the deal w/ Hardknocks ending so early, the latest episode ending in about 48 mins, less than the hour.

The previous episodes ended about 52 mins each. WTF?!?!?

The series was ok, but nothing great. It was a difficult team to create drama with because of the virtual impossibility that one of these fringe guys was going to bust the odds and make the team. I have no idea why they chose to portray Lober, there was no way in he was making the team. They should have covered Scandrick instead.

Naw....I hear this guy do a press conference every day...he really loves his players and gets so defensive when people say anything negative. If you want to call a player or Jerry on that sure…but Wade is just like that.
