It's always some kind of bull with Affliction. On Inside MMA they were talking about how on several occasions, Affliction has had guys scheduled to fight on the card and then at some point during the actual event, they tell the guys, "Sorry your match has been cancelled."
I love the broken English genius of this comment.
ing that made me laugh...well done Poland....![]()
"A source close to the situation also informed MMAWeekly.com that Affliction’s pay-per-view provider, Showtime, played a major factor in the cancellation."
Leonard is on suicide watch
I got the most violently cussed fill emailed today when I showed him the mmaweekly.com link.
Frankly...I'm offended.

Went something like that....
Looks like they weren't far off from making Fedor vs Rogers happen...

"Reilly added that Rogers currently weighs 290 pounds, and that Emelianenko had agreed to face him at an undisclosed catchweight."
and it sounds like Affliction was close to a merger with Strikeforce...
http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2009/7/24...ffliction-deal
which would've been nice. At least then there would be Rogers, Werdum, and Overeem...
I have a very difficult time believing Scott Coker being on vacation is what stopped that merger. Seems like such a over simplifying of a very complicated deal.
Most likely...
this is such bull ...
"The cancellation took our company completely by surprise, as Fedor Emelianenko, M-1 Challenge fighter Mikahil Zayats, and a traveling party of 35 people from Russia consisting of Fedor’s trainers, friends, family, as well as M-1 support personnel were all on a plane en route to Anaheim.
“Additionally, Fedor did not learn of the cancellation until arriving at the airport and informed directly by M-1 legal counsel," further stated the press release.
