Oh good job - Manu is being rested - I believe for the rest of the period - so he'll be fresh in the fourth if needed, but at this rate, he should be benched for most of the fourth if the Sonics don't get their act together beacuse it will be a blowout

The three from Parker - wow his jumper is really working today
If Parker doesn't score in the 4th, I don't want to hear how he played an incomplete game.
He played four quarters' worth of good basketball in the first three.
McMillan puts in AD instead. The Sonics need stops but the only chance they have of catching up with the red hot Spurs is to overload them on offense. Parker, Barry, Bowen, Marks and Rasho in. Barry slashes to the basket and kicks it out to wiiiiiide open TP, stands there for about 5 seconds while everyone watches before slowly winding up and nailing the open three.
64-46
amazing how parker's J sucks tonight lol
Well, I think that he will sit for a lot of the fourth - this is the ideal situation - so no worries.
humm maybe someone should start a thread a day before the game about how bad tp shoots!
Parker is young but no doubt is the one leading this team tonight....
Well, the turnovers aren't great, but w/e
Nazr's in - with the RBD
He's not leading the team, he's beating the crap out of Seattle all on his own ! lol
Jesus, everyone is missing everything. Neither team is playing good basketball, they're just playing worst than us
I guess Parker isn't a rythm shooter, he just needs a few minutes to visualize the basket.
Flip's cooled down again, missing all his jumpers. Barry needs to start hitting some shots, not so much for the Spurs but so the Barry haters don't start bagging on him after the game. None too exciting finish to the 3rd, well, until Nazr grabbed the missed shot with one hand and threw it down. Otherwise lots of misses and turnovers. Sonics with only 48, that has to be a season low through three quarters, or at least close.
End of Third: 68-48 Spurs.
Even more second chance points. I mean, really
great d tonight
sonics have not even scored 50 after 3 quarters
suns can score that in a quarter!
Oh, and I think that there are lower scores through three Qs this season - we've seen some pretty ugly games this year in the NBA
Announcers saying,"Allen is struggling tonight". LOL He is being owned by Bruce.![]()
end of 3rd Spurs up by 20?
a win over Houston. probably tonight, too!
this is one lesson for some pretenders out there, you just can't underestimate this team w/ or w/o duncan.
I meant for Sonics.
Hey, it worked when someone kept starting threads about how much Barry sucks and how he wont step it up before games, right?humm maybe someone should start a thread a day before the game about how bad tp shoots!
And benching Manu was the best thing Pop could have done. He probably won't be needed in the fourth, which is a good thing, but if he is he'll be fresh. Great game so far by Tony - he probably will be sat down for quite a while in the fourth. This is exactly what we wanted - a huge lead so that our players could rest up, esp Manu & Parker because they'll need the rest with the tough April schedule.
BTW, everyone who was getting het up over LakerGod's comments, see what's happening now...Please, just don't waste your breath on him, he's not worth it
Too bad Seattle's going to come with their usual round of excuses i.e.: Fortson and Lewis were out, Bowen plays sissy basketball, the Spurs got homecourt calls and so on....
Yeah I was wondering why gotgod wasn't on the game blog![]()
Seattle, the best perimeter shooting team in the NBA, might end up w/ just 60 pts tonight.
have mercy, Bruce.
Allen has been picking Bowen apart pretty well when they're one on one, the entire Spurs team has been shutting down Allen by collapsing on him when he tries to go inside. AD killing the Sonics offense again, Wilkins needs to take over if the Sonics want to make up any ground.
Beno with a three and then a layup, but both teams are trading baskets.
