HAHAHA let's not kid yourself. LeBron with Shaq, especially the Shaq of last year, with all of that outside shooting and solid team defense, is a contender. They definitely have a much better shot at beating Orlando, because Shaq probably gets Dwight Howard in foul trouble, and Howard doesn't get (as many) easy alley-oops and dunks in playoff basketball against Shaq. They're now the team to beat in the East.
Shaq qill get in foul trouble 1st ... he is running shaq ragged ...Cavs will be great regular season ...suspect in Playoffs.

If Boston is healthy Perkins does a good job on Shaq, KG plays help "D" on Lebron who is gaurded by Pierce and Rondo destroys Mo ...

Orlando already has shown they could beat Cavs Shaq does not drasticlly alter that ...he helps on pnr? Yeah, right. They get faster with Shaq? Now he can outlet pass but he hates the offense moving without him for too long ...

Cavs will have league's best record and Lebron will probably win 2nd MVP but Cavs fail to win le again and face prospect of losing James ...

I guess were gonna start hearing the " Lebron needs Shaq" to win les talk now huh. I really don't know what to say about this move, i mean the team that they had was good enough for 66 wins, they were just a terrible match up for Orlando. Shaq might be able to slow down Howard a lil bit, but i still dont see this deal putting them over Orlando, Turk, Lewis and Pietrus murdered them from the perimeter. Now if the Cavs Pick up Sheed ( which i have a feeling they may do) then they're most likely gonna be the favorites to win it all.

The Big has done nothing to deserve the black balling he's getting from Phoenix fans.

Shaq may 'clog' the paint but at least he can finish. Ben Wallace and Varejao to an extent have people sagging off them shading over to LeBron all the time.

Shaq doens't "clog" the paint. That's nothing more than an excuse the Amare and Nash gots made when those two started playing like .

Risky move by the Cavs. This either gets them to the Finals or gets them into the lottery.

If he stays healthy all season, great trade, if he gets injured, bummer, but still not a bad trade. Cleveland is probably a lock to get back to the ECF with this move, but in the NBA anything can happen in an 82 game season and in the playoffs. I still believe Orlando or Boston can beat them in a 7 game series with Shaq, but this makes it tougher on those teams to do so.

Not sure what the Suns are doing over there, but Kerr and Sarver clearly are admitting the Shaq trade was a flop.

The only way they trade him is if A) He wants out B) He gets bought out and comes straight back.

Word is, Chandler was the back-up plan if the Cavs didn't get Shaq.

^As long as Illgauskas plays a significant role they're going to have serious issues. They need to find an extremely athletic PF to play next to Shaq and do things like defend the PNR. Brandon Bass maybe.

There is no risk at all. They ship off two players that are either done or don't play. And, Shaq's contract is expiring. What's the risk? Now, it might not be a move that puts the Cavs over the top, but it's not a risky move at all.

I'm pretty sure the Shaq trade is the start of a couple of moves Ferry will do. An athletic, stretch type PF and a 6th man or starter quality swingman.
