Losing someone is never easy, especially since Gabriel was just so new to the both of you.

Sorry about your loss...life can be so very fragile. Mourn your loss but don't despair.
I'm still sad about this, but wanted to share something that hopefully will bring a bit, however little, of solace.
I'm the middle of three kids. My parents are immigrants from the Philippines. While they did well for themselves, growing up we weren't rich by any means. Anyway, before my older sister was born, my mother was pregnant with twins. She had a miscarriage and lost the twins.
I look at it this way. They gave up their lives so my younger brother and I could live. Had my parents had the twins, they wouldn't have had more kids after my sister. So out of that very sad miscarriage, my brother and I got a chance. And I've had two guardian angels in heaven looking out for me my whole life.
Maybe that doesn't help at all. And maybe you can't find any solace in it. But I hope in time you will find some.

Keep you head up, stay strong and realize no child lucky enough to be blessed with good people as parents would ever want to be the cause of their suffering.
Mourn and grieve your loss but know you owe it to that little one to live the type of life you wished for him; one full of love, laughter and happiness.
Gabriel would've wanted it that way..
