I guess they don't want uber compe ive matches, or any sort of clan community for MW2. I don't play anything compe ively anymore, but I do play tf2 on the same map on the same server 5-6 days a week. I'm still addicted to 2fort4 from the q1 TF days. I guess I'm kind of a dinosaur these days anyway - every time I see MW2 on a site or in a thread le I automatically think Mech Warrior 2. I think it's just sad you'll never see anything as crazy as something like Prop Hunt in a nice looking game like MW2.
It's about GD time somebody made another Mech Warrior game. There was something special about strapping 80 tons on and walking across a planet blowing up. With todays graphics, it would be freakin awesome. I used to love setting up mechs with different loadout/weapon configurations.
BTW, there are a uva lot of people in the PC community who are indeed boycotting(or not paying for) MW2. I haven't seen so many people on the WaW servers in many months. I always ask if people are playing MW2 or not and usually 50-75% say they are not. There is definitely a lot of hatred for IW out there, especially among the hardcore.
=GH= Clan has partnered with every one of it's ally clans and friends to boycott MW2. That doesn't mean that no one is buying it, of course, but our server is still very very active even with the release of MW2.
I'm sure with how much they've sold in the US and UK alone they care about a small percentage of pc gamers.
I looked around at some articles but couldn't find out exactly what percentage of the record breaking sales for MW2 were actually attributed to the PC version. My guess is that a VAST majority of the sales were console versions (which is true for most multi-platform les). I'm interested to see how the sales for the PC version stack up against some other big sellers.

Yeah...sounds good to me. I've played a couple of times with JT on Team Deathmatch. I'm a level 23 or 24 right now...I only play Free For All..I pretty much suck in team deathmatch on this one. Weird...in World At War I was great at it. I got this crazy kill last night from half way across the map with the SCAR. I love this game...I've been playing free for all. We need to get JT in that. I'm not bad once I kill somebody and pick up their cool gun

I actually maintain a positive kdr despite almost strictly going for knife kills with the tactical knife on my pistol with a commando/throwing knives/lightweight/marathon setup.
I killed 4 people in a room with my tactical knife the other day, was hilarious.
Got a real nice final kill cam too where I threw a knife at a guy from the plane to a guy at the terminal hallway.

Game rules, one of the best FPS ever made. If it wasn't for the myriad community betrayals, it'd definitely be 100x more deserving of a perfect 10 than CoD 4.

i'd still rather play nba but i definetly like this one more then WAW, i had WAW since the release date and it only has 6 hours played lol and i have 3 already for MW2
